1. Someone posted about Grantham coaching all-time single season sack leaders. And low and behold Willie Evans is at the top of the list. I remember that beast. He was committed to U.S.M. and we flipped him close to signing day.Best player on a decent D. McCorvey/Croom O scored 10 or less 7 times that year.

2. The UM stuff was as good as I had hoped. And as Rosebowl stated. We are only seeing what they want us to. The new stuff almost makes you forget about the old stuff. So when you get around to thinking about the totality of it. **** man it's bad.

3. My pops died earlier this year. Man I wish he could be here to see this stuff unfold. It sounds like an odd inferiority complex/little brother type of wish. Don't care. It's my wish.

4. How in the 17 did Dak do what he did? I watched every single offensive play like I had my house riding on it. 17 it I wish Dad could've seen that too.

5. The Leo Lewis flip was one of my favorites. There have been several over the years. Obviously Robert Elliot stands out. Some commits I remember fondly: Derek Pegues, Quinton Culberson, Anthony Butts, Jerious Norwood , Jeff Simmons, and Dontea Walker. Doug Buckles hurt the most.

6. The hardest I ever took a loss was against Bama in 1994.I had been in Alabama 5 years by then so my crimson hatred was really starting to catch stride. 17ing Jay Barker.

7. Best win. Lot to choose from. I've been watching since 1978. So the obvious choice is 6-3.But not so fast my friend. 2013 Dak led Egg bowl victory is my winner. How the 17 did Dak do what he did!

8. Rosebowl was right. Hail State!

Normally I shake a man's hand & look him in the eye when I meet him, but I think I'd hug you.

My dad got his master's in chemistry from Ole Miss, then his PhD in biology from State when I was born. He then moved us to Gadsden, Alabama where he came to hate all the non-alum tiders. My brother, 10 years my senior became the first big State fan at the age of 14 and taught me to hate Ole Miss in the 70's. My dad, myself and two of my brothers ended up as MSU alums, but my dad still didn't hate the Rebels like his sons did. That is, until he went to see State play them at the Sad Pad in the late 80's. Their cheerleaders led the crowd in making "moooooo!" sounds mocking State throughout the game. From that point til he died in 2005, there was no bigger hater of Ole Miss and the disgraceful way they represented our state. I too wish my dad could've seen the Prescott years, the No. 1 ranking in 2014 and the waste bin inferno that is now Ole Miss sports.

I also remeber our star freshman linebacker getting moved to de and buried behind Willie for 2 years. That was rage inducing eye balls popping out stupidity.

Willie Evans is one of my alltime favorites. He played his *** off. I used to tell my friends to take the Willie Evans challenge....his freshman year he played on special teams and on every punt, he was the first player down field to make the tackle or be in on the tackle - even at his size. Dude was a beast.

My pops passed away a little over three years ago now. The man was the biggest cowboys fan I have ever known. Seeing Dak get drafted there and the entire year unfolding the way it did is something that I will always wish my pops could have been around for.

Colon Cancer at age 49. Get screened folks. It's not just another Dak commercial. Do it for the people that love you.

My extreme distaste for anything Ole Miss happened the same way. (Background info: got my Engineering Degree from Mississippi State in '90.)

Spring 1996, our Final Four year, we played Ole Miss at the Sad Pad. Somehow, someway, those lucky MFers beat us.

During every time out of the second half, those MFers playing a mooing cow over the public address system to mock Mississippi State University.

I was ready to go down to the courtside announcer's table and discuss the situation with the Ole Miss staff. Luckily, my parents were with me at the game, and I just couldn't raise a scene like that with them in attendance.

Regardless, the memory of that, and my hatred of anything associated with Ole Miss, is burning like the sun to this day.

F*ck those Ole Miss MFers . . . and I mean that in the most sincere way.

Last year made 10 years since my Poppa died. I still wish I could just ******** with him one more time.

We had this thing where we could call one another and say,"I just wanted to hear your voice," and that would kick off a ******** session. It was known something was wrong, but your job was just to cheer the other up, not ask questions. If it came out later, so be it, the code was, "I need some of your ******** to cheer me up."

He would have shared tears with me when the Cubs won it all. He constantly said the Cubs were the most worthless team on the planet, but he loved them dearly. The best day we ever had was in the bleachers on a June day in 1993.

He wouldn't have cared as much about the Ole Miss saga, but he did hate Bama as much as I did.

The last game my Pop went to was the Rice beat down in the Liberty Bowl. He passed the next July. I would've loved to have been able to talk to him about the run to #1. He was really getting on the Dak wagon. Still miss him terribly and hate TSUN just as much. 17 heart disease and TSUN.
