Well, I've spoke about it years past and my FB profile pic is of me at Wrigley Field, but I'm sorry I hurt your feelings. I didn't realize we had such a high number of sensitive *** bitches in here. Age has definitely softened this place. So long, fellas! I enjoyed my time here. Go CATS!
You talking about the profile pic from April of this year?

Maybe you're the one that's gotten soft.

Yesterday I had an early afternoon meeting off Algonquin Parkway which wrapped up around 2:40, so I dropped in at UofL's open practice for a little football fix as I was in the area.

Some random observations that don't amount to anything but whatever.

-D Line looked way undersized again.
-Secondary looked pretty good. Caught a few tough INTs. Fast and big.
-Plummer is clearly the veteran (and running #1) but wasn't terribly accurate. Seems more than serviceable and younger guys seemed pretty green. Dude is tall AF (6'5).
-Kiyaunta Goodwin walked in shortly after me alongside his HANDLER Chris Vaughn. A nice lil 3rd payday coming for Chris I assume... jagoffs.
-Not sure about that backfield. Runningbacks looked underwhelming.
-Couple receivers made some nice plays.
-They were throwing it all over the yard, though. BROHM BALL is here.
-Good to hear some pads popping again, even if it was UofL.
-Algonquin Parkway... shew bubbers. Third world country. Never been so happy to see the twin spired one and Central Avenue in my life.

*TOUGH day for Lizzo getting sued for being a complete psycho *****. Even tougher day for all the "SLAY GIRL" losers who celebrated her.

*I think we are on our 48th consecutive day of (feels like) over 100 degrees. Unacceptable. So every time one of you drops a "feels like fall this morning" comment, it makes me want to jump off a building. Fall will be here in early December- like it always is.

*There is a twitter account that just shows pics of people trying to sell mirrors online. Its oddly fascinating.

*There has been an uptick of black bear sightings in central AL- nobody is sure how they even made it here, but they have always been in some in more southern counties, and now a couple have shown up locally... lots of ring cam footage and one in the neighborhood caught a smaller bear just sitting right in front of his lawn sprinkler apparently taking a bath.

*The trade deadline was a full-on sellers market, which isnt always the case. A bad year for the Reds to need at least 1-2 more arms and a tough situation because of what they probably wouldve had to give up. It would be different if they were a WS caliber team, rather than a coin toss to get in the playoffs. Cubs needed back end pitchers as well but held on to their prospects too. Being a GM isnt as easy as people think.

*Alabama HS football media days are going on and the big topic is their equivalent to NIL deals that are in place. Its a different world down here. (richie can insert a Milton Mcgregor pic)

*Got a pair of decent tickets for RedSox/Dodgers at Fenway later this month... good not great tickets, direct from the MLB website and after fees the total was around $300. SHouldve probably waited till day of and did the last minute gambol I guess... but ****, dude- thats way too much for a baseball game.

For Reds fans demanding a trade: give me a legit trade you think Nick Krall should have made.

Me = I’d have dealt India and Senzel for bullpen help. Those guys are very expendable and would have at least gotten us someone as good as Sam Moll or better, particularly so with India. The pen needs a break, for sure.

Bingo. Senzel, Newman, dudes of the caliber for bullpen spare parts who can throw an inning without melting down.

The Padres got a guy from KC who’s having a rough year but has had 4 good seasons before that for two lotto tickets - the types of dudes that every team has a dozen of sitting in A ball. Just give yourself some options instead of having to trot the same 4 guys out since Bell manages every game like it’s WS G7.

-Senzel and Newman, yes. I'd like to keep India.

-it's just 2 losses (granted...they were beyond ugly)...still in the mix, a bit ahead of schedule. Hopefully it's a stumble, not a trend...just took a series from a great dodgers team. As others said its fun to be engaged in baseball in August. Been a minute.

FSU has some money deficits to make up unless they go scorched earth and sue everybody.

Forget about the estimated $120 million exit fee. That’s not what makes leaving so prohibitive. Seminoles boosters could probably pass around the hat and raise that kind of cash.

The deterrent comes from the fact that the ACC owns the broadcast rights to all its schools’ home games through the length of their contract.

Whether they’re still in the ACC or not.

That means FSU would have to go the next 13 years without making a penny of TV money for any game played on their campus. You’d have to hit the $1.1 billion MegaMillions jackpot to make up that difference.

Lizzo is just giving Type 2 diabetic, obese, opioid addicted America what they want and need and deserve. “Body positivity” in its purest form. Validation that everyone is awesome and beautiful no matter how big of a lie that may be.

Look in the mirror, America. And half of you will see Lizzo.
I'd leave out the bananas and hookers, tho. That seemed to cross the line.

True and for as many hot 20 somethings we have in this city, move it to anywhere past 30 and it appears 90% have given up and don’t care. Sad. Then they all wonder why their relationship isn’t as fun and sexual as it was.

Well Sharon, you’ve put on 70 LBs since 5 summers ago and your skin hasn’t seen sunlight in that same timeframe, so I’m going to hit youpron up instead.

Class act.

Piggybacking of wcc here, I actually read she’s giving out at least 55 million in bonuses to her crew which is pretty badass. And sure that’s like $55 to us but most people in her spot think well I earned all that **** and I’m keeping it.

That’s going to make some life-changing checks for some people.

On the other hand, that "Lizzo challenge" thing was great. That's the one where you tell a hen who says "Lizzo is beautiful and healthy" that she has a body like Lizzo just to prove that said hen was always full of ****.

I still hold out hope that UL will be left out in the cold with conference realignment. When the ACC folds up and they end up back in something like New Metro USA and playing football on Tuesdays at 3 in the afternoon- i'll finally realize pure happiness.

@Creed Bratton My experiences in Hunstville are mostly limited to the University but I have always enjoyed that city... growing a bit too fast, but its mostly with affluent crowds in the engineering and aeronautics field so at least its good economical growth. Cheers to them getting out of Memphis.

Love the spunk out of Reds fans and how much they hate the Cubs. Was eating lunch with Mom at The Stave (really good cool spot you should check out) past Woodford before Castle & Key.

60ish gentleman comes up to me with my Cubs hat on and says, “Well you got us last night!”

“Last two nights actually, 36-15 but who’s counting, right?”

“Where are you from?”

“Here but I don’t pull for anything from Ohio and grew up watching WGN.”

“Oh yeah Ernie Banks and Ron Santo!”

“Before my time but yes, more like Dawson, Sandberg, Grace. I like the fire the Reds are giving the area though!”

Wished each other luck and went about our ways.

On here though you’d think Cubs players banged everyone’s moms.

Sometimes I worry about anth and his seething hate. Maybe an extra couple miles on a nice little ride to work that out hoss.

- After seeing the campus for the first time since 1999, WKU is a solid college town/campus.

- Several reports were said to expect James Paxton from Boston to most likely end up in Cincinnati. I’d assume the deal fell thru and there was serious talks.

His pitching style fits perfect for for that team, and I can’t imagine the Red Sox not having interest in India who the Reds were clearly willing to move.

Oh well. The last 2 games are no indictment of who either team is for the Cubs or Reds.

- As with all pro sports at this point in my life I’m actually excited about how franchises are run and the business of it. So while I am a Cubs fan, Titans fan, UK fan etc I find the business side fascinating which is why I also follow more than just the team I root for.

That said, if the Cubs go all in on Ohtani in the offseason like is rumored we will I’ll be a lot more vocal then than I’ve been in a few years about them.

Totally irresponsible, completely stupid decision to make, but I’m just a fan so I’ll love it!

- Sold 10 single barrels yesterday! F yea!

- Bring on some UK Football man. I’m about as ready as I can be for college football and even though are schedule is hard, it sets up perfect for us too!

I don't hate the Cubs at all. I never have. Their franchise is too cute, and their ballpark is too fun to hate them. I think they're great, I'll happily go to a game when I can, and I think their fans are mostly bandwagon jumping nerds.

It's like millenial die hard American "soccer fans" who all love Manchester United. Good for you! That's so adorable.

The fact that you all will not STFU about the Cubs has to mean something. I’m just not sure what. It sure is easy to ruffle your feathers though. You sure a thin skinned bunch. Why can’t you just enjoy the run and let us bandwagon Cubs fans have our own fun.

Yes I’m SURE you don’t ever talk **** to UL fans when they come up to you?!?! And it was all friendly banter dumbdick.

I’m positive when a DIVISION RIVAL OKC fan brings up your DIEHARD TIMBERWOLVES FANDOM you come at them hard with solid stats.

Your opinions on being a “friendly” fan are about as myopic, obtuse and haughtily expressed as it gets, and not seeing the forest for the trees is your superpower I’m pretty sure.

You literally hate every team besides your 62 favorites.

They haven’t been discussed hardly at all until this series began, other than the occasional discussion of how fake their fans are.

No rent free head space cliche here.

I’m actually going to a game in Wrigley next month. Very much looking forward to it.

No, I'm 39 years old. Some people have grown up. Some don't.

Cubs fans trend towards the latter. Of course. 36-15 OLD MAN.
So you save it for the internet? You realize that’s still talking **** to people right?

If you don’t enjoy friendly banter/**** talk amongst fans what’s the point? To get on hear and scream about Arsenal like your dad glued your eyes open and made you watch them since you were 4?
