Have a look at the canvas Crocs... the comfort of Crocs without walking around looking like you're wearing Crocs.

I’m an old bastard and I have never worn crocs.
Just get a good pair of water shoes and you’re good to go.

Felt better than normally on a Tuesday and went to Meijer for a couple of things. Grabbed a lottery ticket on the way out and won $200. The trip wiped out what burst of energy I had but the winnings made it worth it.

Happy Treason day, peasants!

Neighbor, who is pulling a jeeter move and parking 40 cars in his yard today since we are only 1 block from the beach, just sent one to park in my yard.

Guy pulls in. I say, “out buddy, over the property line.”

Guy wants me to reimburse his $30 he just paid. Nice try pal.

* I’m sure the inferno is coming and will usher in an Indian summer, ripe with us sweating our *** off at the September 30th Florida game (3:30 CBS)…

…but it might be worth it when you can sit out on your deck, grill out and and enjoy a cocktail on the 4th without wringing out your sweaty clothes.

* Jealous of the Reds fans in here having a team and young talent that brings enjoyment through the summer. Had that for a decade with the Nats until they decided to sell all their talent (still not over the Turner trade) for penny’s on the dollar and throw away any plan to build. Penthouse to outhouse.

Lerners, you got your ring. Sell the team and go back to your strip mall empire.

* Speaking of baseball - deal Ohtani anywhere but the Yankees or Dodgers, Halos.

* Big fan of Baha Mar. Easy skip from the airport to resort. Great accommodations. Tons of pools. Kids everywhere and nowhere to be seen at the same time. Healthy bachelorette party scene. Slang way too much Clase Azul with the Indian (dot not feather) son-in-law of the Dubai Classic Golf chairman. Staten Island broads that want to buy a bluegrass horse farm. A gambino family that were heyday Wodie Crew caliber partiers who said they’d be adopted wildcat friends forever. Good times.

* Nice coming back to the states and hearing about Nichols. Ready for an IV drip of gridiron news from here out.

* Took my nephew to see the new Spider-Man movie yesterday. Smart, clever, well written. Or pretty much the opposite of anything Disney pumps out these days. The number of classic franchises they’ve ruined is staggering.

* If you don’t grill out on the 4th you’re basically a red coat.

* Also, would be nice if the neighbors end the fireworks show before midnight for once this week

-Had to bring the dog in early from the boat as they started shooting off bottle rockets and I didn’t want him jumping in and freaking out.

I did go back out cruising without him which was still nice.

-The Baja Mar crew was looking svelte not gonna lie, lads and lassies both.

-Excited to get this week going, so we can get to Monday and head back to Florida for the week.

-Crocs…what’s wrong with a flop or slide at least?

And like @btodd0224 said just get a pair of water/hiking shoes. Perfect for the gorge or yard work.

-5” inseams are where it’s at right now, if they’re loose on your thighs though go 7”, thanks.

Woke up to two massive piles of **** on the rug because both pups would try to go out then hear a boom and run like hell back inside.

The aftermath is pretty bad a couple streets over. Noticed on the walk this morning that blowing it all up is fun but cleaning it up is meh. Looks like Fallujah on part of the street right now where there are chunks of asphalt missing and trash all over the place.

July 4th is such a great holiday man. No gifts. No elaborate meals to plan. No uncomfortable clothes to wear. No expectation to spend time w distant family. Very high on my holiday power rankings.

For the second year in a row I took my 3 oldest and my mom to Kentucky Kingdom to ride some rides and cool off at the famous hurricane bay. I know KK is probably frowned upon by most in this thread, but it is actually pretty nice. Very clean and well organized. And hurricane bay has some of the best looking crape myrtles in the state. Very large trunks. You don’t see many that size in this area. Impressive.

What’s not impressive is the physical appearance of most everyone at the park. I’m probably a solid 6 in every day life, but I’m a 9 at Kentucky kingdom. My goodness.

Went home and grilled some burgers and some Nathan’s all beef franks. I can’t do “regular” hot dogs anymore. I’ve heard the wagyu dogs are the way to go, but I’ve never tried them and not blowing that kind of money on little kids.

Haven’t had a normal vacation in 2 years due to crazy baseball schedules. Planning to change that for fall break with a Disney/Santa Rosa doubleheader. Been putting off Disney for years and rescheduling for various reasons. I promise I’m going to bite the bullet one of these days. Hopefully the scenery is better than hurricane bay.

Never been a croc person but all my kids are. They wear them everywhere. We bought my oldest some Jordan’s for xmas. They got one wear and then he wanted to sell them. I’m definitely team Hey Dude tho. Super comfortable and formal enough for a family dinner at Cheddars. Not sure what more you could want in a shoe ??

* 😂 at a dog named "Monkey".

* at Calipari dropping his first press conference in forever on the Thursday before a holiday weekend and using Lil Wayne quotes to gloat about the offseason. Congrats on Antonio Reeves having no where else to go and Huggins getting a DUI, fatty, because it is pure luck that we've got a reasonable roster going into the year.

* I'll take July 4th as the best holiday. Unlike Labor Day (which is a close second), it is right in the middle of summer so you don't have to dread the coming onset of fall. Other than rednecks being annoying with fireworks, I'm not sure there's a single downside to the holiday.

* Got a commitment from Quaysheed Scott. This class is shaping up to be an all-timer for names. Jiquavious, Terhyon, Quaysheed, and Cutter are all top notch SEC names. We've even got a Willie and an Aba in the mix, to boot.

For real if you’re feeling bad about yourself and your physical appearance situaish, take your self to an amusement park. It’ll give you a nice shot of self esteem.

Disney is a little different because of the economic demographics in play, but for the most part you’ll feel better about yourself.

* Had a lovely trip to HHI. It was my first time there. Stayed in Harbor Town at Sea Pines.

Condo was excellent. Ate a lot of seafood. Drank a lot of beer. Spent most of the days at the pool, a couple of days at the beach.

Went on one adult fishing trip. My neighbor got sea sick and begged them to take him back 4 Spanish mackerels in. *****. After we dropped him off, the captain refused to go back out where we were so we puttered around catching little sharks 10 minutes from the dock.

Marge & I took our girls and a couple of other kids on a kids' shark fishing trip the next day. A+. Smaller boat than I would've thought, but we had nonstop action. 15 3'+ sharks in 3 hours. My oldest caught a 5' blacktip. Helluva fight. Bonnetheads, hammerheads, sharp nose, fine tooth and black tips. A lot of fun.

* Random Jared Prickett sighting at our resort.

* Lots of UK gear proudly being worn all over HHI.

* Lots of talent wandering around. The pool scene was nice, but the beach was off the charts.

* Spent a night in Savannah and did the trolley tour. Meh. I love history and enjoyed quite a bit of the tour, but the guide was a bit too cheesy.

I give Charleston the big edge over Savannah in Wildcat Willy's Desired Destinations list.

* Looking forward to a November trip to Columbia, SC to see the Cats destroy those garnet and black ********. Other than UT, my #1 most hated SEC fanbase.

* Somebody within artillery range of my house was shooting off big fireworks at 1:30 am last night. Ridiculous.

* I have to go to Seattle to shoot a couple of new commercials in September. I hope to come down to Lex and torment Anth for at least a couple of home games, though.

* Looking forward to ABH driving wcc up to Loveland to watch a game or 2 in my basement this season.

* Loved the UKraziest b4th hot dog drop by yesterday. Blast from the past.

* Have a great day, GYERO. You've earned it.

-Fourth is outstanding. Just has the best overall vibe. Very little stress. Great weather.

-We've been hitting a local park, with the baseball families, for the last few years. Roll up this year and they've built a perfect little sandlot/whiffle ball field for the kids. As usual it became crazy competitive. They bumped The Sandlot soundtrack most of the afternoon. Fantastic.

-Saw the Rax kiddos driving those old time cars at KK and it brought back some OLD *** memories. Miss those season pass, Hurricane Bay, Saturday Night Lights days.

-Can't believe the Captain brought that guy back. That's against one of their main rules. Watched MCF, Mom and Dad all be miserable for 6 hours back in the day while your boy absolutely slayed the boat limit.

See, the coming onset of fall is one of my favorite things about Labor Day. Also, Labor Day is guaranteed 3 day weekend, which is a knock on 4th of July.
Yeah that’s a big point for Labor Day. Having to work Monday, off yesterday, back to work today has me all crossed up. No such issues with Labor Day. Plus I send my kids to public school so I’m all about the communist holidays and hate traditional values.

- Fireworks till well past 1am last night…surprised our dog is still alive this morning.

- Confrontation with neighbors where it was “my fault” they were parking cars in my yard.

- AC went out in the car 45 min away from home made for a pleasant ride home from the zoo.

- Didn’t get to drink 1 bud heavy.

- Kids up at 5am this morning despite said zoo visit and a couple hours in the pool.

- One of my fav holidays was a big kick in the nuts this year.

-Went to Lake Michigan, our 3rd year in a row. We’ve been checking out different small towns that aren’t more than a 5 hour drive away as I can’t tolerate a drive that long with the kiddos. St Joseph this year. Absolute **** weather but didn’t seem to bother them. Went to the lake one day, the beach is shockingly nice, however within 2 hours my 4 year old got sand in his eye and my 2 year old ate sand. Both hysterical. So back to the pool the whole rest of the trip. I have no clue why the hell we pay for these beach vacations when I could just sit them at a ****** pool for 3 days and they’d be thrilled. Sun setting at 10PM was cool though.

-Listed our house for sale on Saturday with the hopes we could get it sold while out of time. Sold it Monday - all cash “as is” offer. So nice to get that scratched off the list.

Michigan is superb for summer lake trips- doesnt get the credit it deserves- likely bc its more local folks there than a lot of other destinations have become.

We did a week in IOP at a house in their mega resort... resort was nice, beach was right outside the back deck, resort pools right out front. We've typically avoided that setup before because it becomes the same thing every day- but it was okay, especially with a young kid. Opted out of the annual new england trip bc I thought flying with a 16 month old would be miserable for folks around us on a plane- but an 8 hour drive wasnt exactly fun either. Back north next summer.

The pickleball scene in Righteous Gemstones was absolutely over the top and amazing. What a ridiculous show.

-Hosted a little neighborhood 4th of July party (no fireworks) that I thought would be pretty tame. Luckily the parents got turnt up and we blew it out till probably midnight. All 3 herbies are packed full of empty beer cans, wine bottles, and bourbon bottles. With that said, never have had a seltzer in my life until I was introduced to Happy Dad Fruit Punch Seltzer. Jeeeeezus those things are insane. 5-6 of those and i'm feeling the affects.

-Im not sure I know a person that knows more about plants and trees than @Geese Feeder. The dude just knows his stuff. Was glad to get him and his wife to the party to let loose and throw down some of his high dollar Rum.

-Saw a post on FB that Bonzo made with a shirtless Anth. Jesus bro, you're looking great (No Homo) and the freaking 6 pack you're rocking is totally not dad bod. Great job brother!

-Officially down 30 pounds as of this morning.

-Topless, doorless, Jeep weather today. 😎

-Hope you honkies are doing well! If you're ever passing through WOFO, holler at a brother and let me pour you a brown water.

- Loved July 4th until we got a dog. Calming chews, thundershirt, interior room, fan going, music playing, none of it matters...it's just non-stop barking every night. Full-blown panic. So my view of the whole thing has been stained, unfairly so. Our neighbors do a pretty good job of staying within that 9:30 to 10:30 timeframe for setting off fireworks, but other neighborhoods within earshot aren't quite so considerate. Just ready for it to be over, tbh.

- My Guardians are still scuffling, but I'm getting enjoyment out of the excitement my Reds fan friends are experiencing. What a likeable bunch of dudes, and Votto is impossible to hate.

- Catching the Angels vs. Blue Jays in Toronto later this month. Was excited to see Ohtani and Trout in person. Both are hurt. At least it'll be Caribbean Heritage Night, and we'll all get free terrycloth bucket hats, apparently.

- I quit worrying about fashion a long, long, long time ago. Just focus on what fits and feels good, and is reasonably-priced. I'm too old and too lame to care about anything else. Did get a pair of Nikes for the stage, though.

- Thanks to Max for the Smoke Justis recommendation for Taylor Swift Night. Dropped the crew off to walk across the bridge to the concert, piddled around Cincy for a few hours, then posted up over some smoked wings and parked for free on the street waiting for them to walk back after the show. Worked like a charm for ol' Dad.

-Only small complaint with Righteous Gemstones was the first season had a lot of dudes cawks showing. Other than that it’s great.

-Trying to hire someone in the service industry is insane. We will call an electrician, roofer or handyman to come out and give an estimate on various things. Most times they don’t even send an estimate after a reminder or two.

-Reaching out to UK baseball coach and see how we can help a little with NIL. He is a big Mitch fan so I’m assuming not at all.

-4th of July top 3-4 holiday. Give me Christmas, Thanksgiving and then the 4th.

-Reds bringing a lot of us some hope/joy is fun as hell. The Reds/Bengals haters around here are going to have some bullets to dodge the next few years.

-Never worn crocs and hopefully never will.

Top 5 holidays of the calipari era
1. Thanksgiving
2. Labor day
3. 4th of July
4. Memorial Day
5. Christmas

We gotta get Juneteenth to be more widely accepted so we’ll have 3 straight months of 3 day weekends during the summer. Really thought Biden would get that accomplished but I guess he’s been SNORTING COKE WITH HIS LIZARD NOSE WHILE HIS SON PERFORMS ORAL SEX ON ROBERT KENNEDY JR (not sure I got all the details 100% - getting my news from Twitter)
