"Onyenso looks really, really good. We're excited about his development."

"Not worried about Aaron. He'll be back when he heals and we'll be ready for him."

"It was always going to be a process for Antonio. He explored all of his options, and we supported him the entire way through."

"Our guards are really, really skilled. DJ, Rob, Justin, Reed. We're going to be able to do some special things with this group."

"Tre is the kid of guy we needed. Long, skilled, Gives you a guy who can play three positions."

"We might add one more."

"John Welch has been a huge addition. He brings multiple decades of NBA experience to our team and makes us stronger."

Nothing Calipari says today is anything that we can't predict.

If he says that it will be an upgrade from his usual press conferences

Nice try, but you didn't insert nearly enough nebulous drifting and starts/stops to be accurate.

"Look......we're going to go up to Canada here in a couple of weeks and..........Look- Antonio is a baller man, he's not ready to pass the torch to these younger guys, but lemme tell you.......and Tre! How glad are we to get Tre?! He told me, and this is great, he told me, Coach........well, let's just say, this is going to be a fun ride......and you people are still crazy!"

Oh God. Bradshaw isn’t playing. Cal saying the exact same stuff he did about Sharpe. To a T. SMFH
I don't remember Cal talking about Sharpe's foot injury or surgery he had. "He wants to play" is not Cal saying the exact same stuff as he did about Sharpe. Relax

This is said every season. Cal is who he is. He can contain himself right now. He will spin the roster to be great and act like the past is the past. Once the season comes and the pressure builds then drop a couple that’s when cal starts his schtick.
Cal is hard at work determining the order in which he will throw players under the bus during this upcoming train wreck of a season. Working equally hard are his loyal fans making their list of players to label "not UK quality". Lol

Man, I really hope Cal coaches the team in Canada, because when the assistants coach, the team looks nothing like what we see during the actual season.

I know the competition in the Bahamas wasn't great, but our guys played together and everything seemed more fluid. Once the season started, the offense looked like it was stuck in the mud and it was all iso and post stuff.

I'd rather know now what we're going to look like in November.

I always notice all the biggest bitchers on this board are always the ones obsessing over anything and everything calipari says.

It’s irrepressible …makes the board depressing …just about every thread …Even though at this point nobody knows absolutely anything about how successful this team will be .

The past is the greatest predictor of the future. Your wishes and wait-and-see attitude won't change this program's well-established trend with Cal as coach.

How hard can it possibly be for someone in the media to ask the following: "Cal, your team hasn't secured a one seed, nor been to a final four, in 9 years. Additionally, the past three seasons have seen UK generate below UK-standard results. What will you do as a head coach to rectify all this?"

Really is not hard to ask. Can be done so in a very professional way as well...
And his response would be predictable so does it really matter? Bring in players who want to be here. We upgraded staff. It's a process, not every team is going to come together. Our new NIL group should help us in the portal next year. Etc etc...

A lot of you guys are exhausting. I've been lurking for years but I can't get through a thread without giving up. You run Cal out of town and you'll be right back to Gillespie level performance. But you will still complain so nothing will change.

This used to be a basketball forum.

Yeah, it's a process, but this is Cal's 14th year. Exactly how long does this process take and why are we actually going through said process?

Oh yeah, because Cal invented UK basketball and Billy Gillispie is the only alternative, right?

Villanova, Duke, Baylor, KU, Gonzaga, UConn and even Florida International seem to be doing just fine, but UK Basketball, apparently, would die if Cal left.

Actually, the way I look at it, Cal, the last 3 years, has been worse than Gillispie, so idk wtf you’re looking at. 9-16 is okay with you?

Go back to lurking.

What about our performance the past 5 years is above Gillespie level? Recruiting titles?

I'm not happy with the recent tournament results, but I'm happy with the direction of the program. It's idiots like you that create this hysteria with your straw man arguments like "Cal invented basketball" nonsense. Go follow another program if all you're going to do is hate on this one.

Sounds like the staff has an eye of an August graduate. Make me wonder about Reeves, but I’m guessing he won’t graduate in the summer anyway. He didn’t leave in the first place because of it.

Says the person who essentially spams the board with videos, links and full-on copied stories from other sites almost continually. If nobody knows anything, stop posting all that stuff.

These could be real tweets and I’d believe them.

We've been at Gillespie level - actually worse sometimes - for about 5 years now.
