3. To go draft domestic beer that is good for about 5 min before it gets warm.
-Customers used to say, “uhhhmm, my beer is warm…” like they were going to get a freshy because of that.

I just replied, “That’s god telling you you’re drinking too slow.”

-I’ll probably be on the Ultra tip all summer. Same cals as a shot of tequila (which I prefer) but I drink everything at the same pace. Drinking tequila as fast as a beer can lead to a quick day/night.

Although right now trying to get that diet back on point so attempting to drink little to zero until I vacay.

Also, keeps me from texting 6s…

Go to summer drinks in FL

1. Gin and tonic, 2 limes
2. Tequila, splash of club soda, 1 lime
3. To go draft domestic beer that is good for about 5 min before it gets warm. My choice is still bud light bc my home bar sells a 16oz for $2.50 and I get about every other one for free.

Anything in FL that does not include Rum is terribly FALSE.

@krazykats we’re talking about what Floridians drink not what you tourists think we do bubby. You can have all the rum you want but I honestly know VERY few Floridians that drink rum regularly.

Tourists think we sit around drinking mojitos and rum punches, nope that’s for you all.

I like ONE mojito every now and then (read once a year with a friend visiting) but way too sweet for this guy for more than that.

It was quite the revelation learning that you could sip great Tequila straight or on the rocks.
Enjoy margarita's, on the rocks, not frozen, for the summer.
Not a heavy beer drinker, so enjoy vodka mixed with plenty of options.
Do enjoy the occasional transfusion.
Price of Hilton Head golf has exploded to the point you're paying $150 to play a terrible course like Shipyard. But, might as well.

I like a painkiller. Only problem with Pussers is it’s a dark rum and drinking dark rum all day in the sun/on a boat is a horrible idea. I don’t care what the British Royal Navy says.

Now if you’re staying under the roof of a bar with AC, it’s fine. Just like bourbon, you don’t drink dark liquor in the hot sun.

I come from a position of knowledge.

You can say what you want, every distributor in Florida will tell you Rum is one of the top selling spirits in the state of Florida behind only Vodka.

Yeah obviously because of TOURISM. Just like Vegas is one of the heaviest drinking cities in the world but it’s not the locals doing it it’s tourism. That’s how that works. They don’t ask if your local or a visitor when you order it.

Distributors sell it to bars, I sell it to the actual customer. Hitf would a distributor know who’s drinking it?

I worked at a bar that did $24K/week in mojitos alone, guess how many were consumed by locals or employees? About zero and we were one of the most popular local spots.

@cole854 super false bro. You going out on a boat with a bunch of buddies for 6 hours when it’s 95 out and the UV Index is at 11, polishing off a bottle…you’ll wish you didn’t.

But what would I know? I lived next to the ocean for almost 11 years and have a boat, you have a John boat and float around a little lake, visiting the beach once or twice a year.

“Tourists” . . .

Was it South Park that did an episode about how a bunch of rich white people moved out to Maui and pretended they were locals and expert know-it-alls about the island’s history and culture?

That was hilarious. . . and topical to today’s discussion.

How many of you all or wives have a “Salt Life” sticker on the back of your car but only see the ocean once or twice a year? Always cracks me up. People that live next to the ocean don’t put those on, they’re actually there lol. Swap it out for one that says “Salt Week”

I get a good laugh when I see some chump with a salt life sticker driving their ****** car around here in January and it's covered in road salt.

Booked our first kid free trip for the end of summer. Nice long weekend on the Cape. Still feel that "guilt" about leaving our daughter, but a break will be nice.

Alyssa Lang keeps climbing the charts, imo

The live sports TV blackouts are the most counterproductive thing in sports media, imo. Does nothing but push fans away if they have no exposure.

I got an invite to teach a little mini-term course next May at Oxford. Involves taking some students from our program over for a few weeks. Thats coming a long way from being a study abroad student who was dismissed from his program for not showing up (hungover, got lost- was the official reason I failed to appear).

Took Rahm and Homa this weekend.

What little things do I look forward to on a daily basis??-- sharing meme reels with my IG pals is UP THERE

Look obviously I'm a long time hater but is it not a bit premature to be patting Cal on the back for putting some NIL thing together right before the stroke of midnight?

Wearable art, imo... I dont have a good enough handicap to game these but they are beautiful.
Those are fine… but they’re no these:

Nephew went to A&M camp today. Bobby Petrino is their new OC. After the camp was over he asked my nephew what schools he was interested in. He isn't dumb so he said A&M first.

Next came UK and BP was a bit taken aback. He asked why KY and nephew said family and favorite team growing up. BP must not have much resentment because he is following him on Twitter now.

- Tell you a couple things - live rock n roll is always a great time and the ICON music venue right by Paul Brown is a wonderful place to watch a show. Caught Franz Ferdinand playing their hit “Take Me Out” - never a big fan but that’s always cool. Then the Pixies with a bunch of 40-something hipsters. My people although they look down upon me because I like Dave Matthews.

- So besides the original Iron Man, I’ve never seen a Marvel movie. My buddy heard that and said “man, I’m jealous- wish I could go back and see them for the first time.” I respect his taste and last time a friend said that to me was in 2009 about The Wire. Am I really missing out here on these Avenger movies?

- Enjoying “Stanley Tucci Discovers Italy.” Big Tucci and Italy guy here.

- I think the most unsung technological advance of the past decade are those giant ceiling fans all over the place these days- gyms, grocery stores, warehouses, etc.

- What’s a good sippin tequilla or mezcal? tia

- I just can’t fathom John Calipari these days. Who is this MFer and where did my coach go?

wcc was always cool and had opinions but man, impressively and against most predictions on here, it appears fatherhood has chilled him out. I dig it, guy is super low-key now, congrats buddy, we’re all happy for you.

If you started Marvel now you’d have about 20-30 hours at least of movies to watch lol.

Fatherhood grinds you down until any edges are curved and smooth like sea glass. You live for the hour or so every night when your wife and kid are in bed and you can sip hard liquor and grab back any tiny piece of your individuality.

I’m going to watch all these F’ing movies. 30 minutes at a time like how Michael Scott showed his Dunder Mifflim team “Varsity Blues.”
