UK in the transfer portal reminds me of when I watch a Victoria Secret fashion show. A lot of wishful thinking but realistically no chance of landing any of them.

Oscar wouldn’t lie about that, imo. He’s a Christian and he seemed to love playing for our program. I really hope he comes back.

I’d probably take him at this point because we desperately need some front court depth, but I’m not sure his skillset really fits to be a game changer for the team we’re looking at this year. 16 points per game is nice, but he’s strictly a back to the basket scorer with few other skills. He has no touch on his shot at all (didn’t attempt a 3 all year and shot 58% from the line), doesn’t really block shots despite his size (less than 1 per game), and although this number may not have been helped by playing on a team with almost no outside shooting last year, averaged more turnovers than assists. Not really an ideal fit for a team oriented around guards who like to attack the rim in my opinion.

All right guys I am going to think positive about this and hope these are the 3 guys we get. Tolu Smith, Grant Nelson and the Lawrence kid from Vandy. Would give us a solid roster and could probably overcome Cal’s ****** coaching. Positive vibes only.

The NBA Combine ends today so maybe Coach Cal believes Oscar returns or there are some that will be heading back to college that put there name in the portal or graduate transfer. There are still some options now but I do believe Cal wanted to see with NBA Combine wrapped up the decisions with Oscar, Livingston, and Reeves. If 2 out of 3 returns then UK is at 9 players and I still believe Cal will pick up a PF and another Guard/Wing that is a good shooter to get us at 11 players. If you go back over Cal's years here at UK he has started out with 11 or 12 players. Reeves, Livingston, and Oscar could have answers sometime this week after all the feedback comes back from the Combine. If not, lets say Reeves is the only returning one out of the 3 players that puts UK at 8 players. I see Cal hitting the Portal and bringing in 2 or 3 additional players to get us at 10 or 11 players to start the season.
Yeah like a few years ago Cal wanted to get these guys out of poverty for the sake of the family damnit lol! He was tired of it and talked about it all time.... Like he was so pissed off he had had it up to John Thompson towel with the **** and wanted these kids to not just get money but end generational poverty and now he don't want to talk about the sumbitchin money. He wants em focused on being at UK on a scholarship because they wanna be here NOW before they talk money. I kinda liked it at first when he came out saying he didn't wanna talk about the money first thing until I thought back about all the **** he spewed when he was same guy tearing up Bam,Fox , Monks scholarships and telling them they are done here.
