What are the huge pieces that are part of this mass exodus? Wheeler sucks and no one including the coaches wanted him on the court. Ugo is a project that couldn't get on the court. Collins couldn't get on the court in two seasons. Those guys will not be missed at all next year and will be replaced with guys much better and more ready to make a difference next season.

Livingston is the only guy that Calipari is really fighting to keep, but he can be replaced as well. I'll take my chances with the stud freshman, Reeves, CJ and 2-3 difference maker transfers.

So, what you are saying is Cal has LOST his eye for talent. He is bringing kids into the program that aren't ready to contribute AND aren't willing to stick around to BECOME ready.

This is something that has DESTROYED UK Basketball. Cal REALLY needs to evaluate the players AND the handlers of these players MUCH better!! I am SICK AND TIRED of the near TOTAL roster turnover with VERY LITTLE return!!!

Used to be the players Cal brought in were good enough to get UK to a level where we beat the other Bluebloods, won the SEC AND could reach a Final 4, now it is TOTAL CRAP that is NOWHERE near that!!!

I agree with this at least in terms of the Ugonna news because it’s something we all knew was coming and it may end up being a net positive if we can replace him with someone better in the portal. If we don’t, then I’ll jump on the anger bandwagon about it

Story of UK basketball is that we have been short 1-2 pieces the last few years. With another mass exodus, we will have another patch worked roster. We all need to hope the incoming freshman live up to their hype.

That has been the story of UK basketball most of my life. Remember when Tubby could not bring in a power forward to save his life? I've said hundreds of times that this team or that team was about one player short of being terrific.

It is obvious to me that with the rules currently in place around transfers and NIL that there will never be another team with a deeply talented roster that is capable of covering up nights where a player might be off their game. That means parity is here to stay you just have to wish for the best each game.

I think this is correct and it increases the value of a strong bench coach.

I agree this happens to us way too frequently but it really is a huge problem across college basketball. Just in the SEC, Alabama and Arkansas are dealing with the same issues with new rosters every year and tons of departures. Problem is they've been doing a better job than we have at mastering the transfer portal

My reading comprehension is actually acute. You're basically implying that you're okay with what is going on here and being lured into Cal's spell again with a high quality class. What happened when we had that? We won 9 games! Why would you trust Cal after 5 years of the same ****? Why are you putting faith in a system where guys like Onyenso shouldn't be transferring? It's called reading between the lines. Or simply communicate better what you mean. I appreciate the optimism, but Cal is done man. I don't know why you can't comprehend that. I’ve been on and off this board since 2005 when Tubby was at the end of his tenure. It was ten times worse then. The thing is over the years. I’ve learned how to take my fandom in moderation. It was either that or have a heart attack. I’m in my 60’s.
