Not a single lie was told. If the buyout is that big of an issue I bet DA would take a 5year contract the for 1m a year the first 2 years before bumping up to 3-5m. He’d likely build a staff of Rondo, Vogel, and a couple old head long time college assistants. We’d get similar if not better results while we eat this buyout.
You can also probably go get Mark Pope for the same price range…has college experience and would likely bring in Vogel, DA, Rondo etc.

There's a guy on Twitter using the traps as an example of Cal adjusting mid-game. They gave up 3 easy buckets trying to trap the water bug

The use of Oscar to trap out high on the little guard was one of the stupidest things I've seen Cal do. He should stick to just rolling out the ball.

This is the VERY THING that will HELP get rid of Cal. When former players start speaking out on how HORRIBLE Cal has become, he will not like it AND his EGO won't be able to take it.
He isn't the only former player that doesn't like the status of our program. I know 2 more BIG TIME former players that feel the same way or WORSE about Cal!!!

This is why he would make an awesome assistant coach. The problem is he’s called Cal out way to many times and Cal would never make him an assistant on his staff for that reason and Cal wouldn’t never listen to him anyway. Cal loves all of his yes men and DA wouldn’t fly for all that BS!!!
I know it's not the politically correct thing to do, but can we get SOMEBODY with skin in the game FOR ONCE to call Cal out directly? Just call Cal for what he is, unwilling to develop players, doesn't teach offense, plays stall ball? DA is being way too nice here.

Cal runs it his way. He has life time control. He never likes to zone. In his own words, he's good, He has his one championship. He's here to help kid move to the pro level and make top dollar.

I mean I see what he's saying but I really dont know what else Cal could have really done this game that he didn't do. I mean it's real easy to just yell ZONE like it's some end all be all but it isn't.
Now if you wanna talk roster management and why were relying on a transfer from Illinois St to be so crucial, or why players are quitting at the end of the year or never playing at all..(Sharpe) or why he's not meeting his obligations off the court post game and just being a douche in general, these are all very fair criticisms. Agreed
But for THIS GAME with the players we had available im not sure what he was supposed to do. 2 of his 4 best players went 2-22 and literally missed like, 17 wide open looks, and they hit 3 dagger there's in the final 2 minutes to win, 2 stepback well contested and one from 26 feet no one saw coming. I mean I don't know what you want him to do about that. AGAIN, if you're wondering why we're relying on an Illinois St. Transfer and having guys with the talent level of Ware playing in the first place, totally fair, and I agree.

If I understanding correctly what Nowell was saying coming down the court after the play, he was saying: "I'm a f***ing beast." I guess it's hard to argue with him this game.
And those days are over with the transfer portal and the top recruits going to all schools.
KSU had two scholly players when Tang took over as head coach and they just sent us packing.
Oscar quick enough trap a guard...he can't guard his own man much less a guard. Was done to us all year long and zero changes, zero. But then again you can't make coaching adjustments if you can't coach.
Loved DA as a player but there’s a reason nobody has asked him to be an assistant anywhere in the 15 years he has been out of the NBA.
Well, it definitely won't be Cal. LOL! Remember when we thought bringing in Orlando and Chin would make a difference. Hasn't exactly helped when Cal is still running the show.
And anyone saying we can’t win without cal or be careful blah blah blah need to look at teams like kSU who rebuilt in an offseason. The right coach and our program will heal quickly. My main concern now is apathy setting into the fanbase and our standards dropping like IU.
