What lineup wouldn't lose bad games? Again, what teams haven't lost bad games?

So now the argument is just down to 1 player? Not even Cal wants/wanted to play Wheeler that much, but he is the only pg on the roster. He is the only player who is quick with the ball and can consistently find open guys. Until Cason could be consistently relied on there.

Based on what? Give us evidence we don't lose those games with thatl ineup. Conjecture isn't evidence.

We've also beaten some pretty good ones. So you're saying the benny lineup is interchanging? Doesn't seem like much of a set lineup you all were allegedly calling for and correct on.

He played zone because we were in foul trouble and was trying to protect from additional fouling. Only reason I know on why we switched to zone defense for a few minutes. Arkansas is a poor shooting 3 point shooting team and he was going to make them beat us from the 3 point line. That is why our defense was packed in all day

Lol, because I am pointing out the flaws in your argument?

They were in several variations I read on here. By your own admittance, the benny lineup was never a set lineup. It was moldable based on who was playing well. Yet, you weirdly pat yourself on the back like you actually contributed something. Your need for validation is weird.

How much credit or discredit do you assign to the players for not following the game plan, poor free throw shooting, poor FG shooting, low IQ unforced turnovers, poor defense on PnR plays, etc. can you identify at least 5 unforced turnovers from the Arkansas game? Can you admit that Toppin disappeared in The Vandy game? I suggest you go back and look at the various games that we lost and identify player performances that were lower than their perceived skill sets.

How many games has UK played this year with a full healthy roster?

Why is it that players can shoot 1-8 from 3 against Vandy and score 37 against Arkansas. I really like Reeves and hope he has found his shooting groove, but he is streaky and go 1-9 in the next game. Even before CJ got hurt everyone was saying that if his shots were not falling, he shouldn’t be if the game because he plays bad defense. How many games did we lose because of bad FT shooting. Wallace, our starting pG was 54% before conference play started. We were in the UCLA, Mich St, Kansas games until bad FT shooting cost us the games. Cal does not shoot FT or 3 pointers and he does not make turnovers and he does not play defense

Cal has his faults, but player performance is not one of them. The players themselves play the biggest role in uK success. Cal is responsible for player/roster management

I am glad he got rid of Justice and Barbee and replaced them with Antiqua and Chinn. New coaches highly responsible for next year’s #1 recruiting class.

NIL and transfer portal are largely responsible for all the parity in college basketball today. Just look at the total number of losses all 4 #1 seeds will have in this year’s NCAA Tournament. I venture to say it is more than ever before.

Players now have the leverage over their college teams and it is showing up in results.

Cal is always protective of his players and doesn’t throw them under the bus

It is easy to be critical glad everyone can exercise that right, but it is not always warranted

I dont really care why he used it just glad he did. Just makes sense for all coaches to mix up defenses IMO.

But it does illustrate that despite repeating over and over that he doesnt listen to the noise, he has great big rabbit ears on whats being said all the time. He responds to every criticism in his coaches shows so he knows and it would serve him well to stop listening and just coach.

By not doing so it makes me wonder if he really did resist trying different things out of pride of giving in to the noise.

Nobody is saying you're not going to have bad games, even with the best lineups, but you have no shot with Wheeler and Collins on the floor. Wheeler was getting abused and Cal refused to do anything about it.

If it's not a full court, up and down game, you can't play Wheeler more that 10mpg, it's a fact.

The best part is you run around constantly saying **** and then doing a complete 180 within a couple of weeks, which just further proves you re-develop the narrative to support your argument. All through January Damion didn't deserve minutes or belong here according to you. After 1 decent game, he should be taking Oscar's minutes unless Oscar proves he can handle them from game-to game.

You're reactionary and have offered no real plans other than play the hot hand at the time. Yet, you seek for validation for the literal nothing you provided. You know nothing about basketball, playing or coaching, and you take offense to being called a basketball benny because it rings true, and that makes you feel inadequate. Which you are in terms of basketball knowledge! Just enjoy it from a fan perspective and leave the analysis of it to people that actually have a developed understanding beyond watching.

Blaming the fans for recruiting misses is supposedly this staffs MO of late according to insiders.

That said…i wouldn’t be surprised if fear of Cal moving on at least played a part in Jackson going to UNC. I think it has more to do with him eventually moving up a class and the two teams rosters. Kentucky really didn’t have room for another ball dominant wing on next years team. And UNC does.

But we’ll see. There are a lot of people that still insist he’s staying in 24. If that happens then the stuff about Cal looks a lot more reasonable. and you could argue low fan approval has something to do with that.

Frankly hanging onto a coach because of a recruiting class is extremely short sighted when he’s underperformed for going on 8 years. So even if Jackson picked unc over UK because of the fans it doesn’t really matter.

Also the funny thing about that UNC fans aren’t exactly thrilled with hubert davis right now so the joke would be on Jackson.

I provided a post of you clamoring for Collins over Oscar, which you said never happened.

I provided you multiple post you bashing Collins all January, only to say he had shown enough to warrant taking some of Oscars minutes in February, after he had 1 good game.

Your most efficient lineup changes by the game. A guy you think shouldn't get minutes in January is suddenly the answer im early February. You just post for the sake of writing a post and seeing it at this point.

Another strawman. Against length, Collins is a good option. I never said anything about Collins being part of the Benny lineup. That's what this discussion is about, or do you not remember? You're changing the subject.

Not only that, but Collins was dreadful for most of the season, he came out and had a couple good games in February, so in my mind, why the hell would you not use him if he has made the improvement?

Also, something you are ignoring is the fact that all the Benny lineup stuff all came up in December and January, teams and undividuals get better/worse/injured, which is certainly the case with this team.

What are you going to do next, wait until 2025 to throw this up in my face? Apparently timing means nothing to you
