Has there been any mention regarding his injury and if he will be ready to play tomorrow?

I doubt he plays. A hard fought win against a physical team would give us a Friday night game, likely with Wallace staying gimpy.

A loss puts us playing afternoon games, likely with a healthier Wallace. Albeit possibly playing 4 instead of 3.

Also look at it this way. Committee doesn’t care about Sunday. Slip to 4/5, and we probably play Bama on Saturday in a game that matters.

My bet would be he won’t play Saturday and they won’t announce until 20 mins before tip that he is sitting out for precautionary reasons in a game they really need
You and several others are hashing the same negativity over and over and over on something you have no control over. It really is pure insanity and an utter waste of time. Oh well.

Guarantee you Cal sits him Saturday even if he can go because Cal thinks the committee will consider that when evaluating our loss at Arkansas. Especially considering, Cal knows it would be very difficult to win there even with Cason.

You want to know what pure insanity is. Having 12 messages being a clear troll and trying to gate keep somebody. Your logic is a utter waste of time

Oscar saying he's not "supposed to give too much information out" is not a good sign. If all was OK then there no legitimate reason coaches would tell players not to talk about it. I mean maybe he wants to keep Arkansas guessing, but I don't think that really matters for them.

OR, it's because Cal likes to play games with media and fans about injuries.

Really think I'd rather he sit Sunday, and put Thiero in for 30 min. Trial by fire. We almost for sure lose, but it was going to be a tough win to get even if healthy.

This way Thiero a little more ready to go at point, and Cason has another few days to heal (and not get hurt during this Arkansas game).

Game is tomorrow. But, yeah, if there's any question at all, just sit Cason and get him 100%. Odds are stacked against us anyways and this game really doesn't mean anything in the big picture. Get him back to 100% for the SECT, if he's not 100% for tomorrow.

There is a argument that getting the four is better if Tennessee loses Mizzou wins and vandy wins. That means Kentucky would be the four, get vandy at the five and Tennessee would be the six. Kentucky would get to face vandy, if they can’t beat vandy then I give up, vandy should never beat you twice, and then play Alabama Saturday in a game that actually matters. But of course the only way any of this happens if Kentucky wins and is consistent, which we all know this Kentucky team is a coin flip on who is going to show up

I like your idea in concept but don’t you think he’ll play CJ at point though?

If Kentucky had another PG then yeah Wallace sitting out might be fine. Kentucky doesn’t have another PG, wheeler is out(with whatever his situation is), theiro is not a PG, Frederick & reeves aren’t PGs

He's also been playing with some knee discomfort/injury and when your legs are compromised rather see him rest on Saturday and play it out in the Postseason. This team isn't going to do much but they have 0 chance and I'd not even invite them if Wallace is out for year. So learn from TyTy playing a game after he was injured last yr and then ruining the team's season.

I'm kinda on the same boat as some others have mentioned. Sit him. Let Thiero get the minutes. I absolutely love that kid and his game. It would be a great opportunity for him to have a long leash in a game with minimal backup help available at the position. Regardless, Calipari will still pull his antics about updates and it will make a loss look less disappointing if Wallace doesn't play.

Minor procedure - emergency tail-bone fix - out 2-3 weeks - hope he returns to play in the NCAA final... sound about right?

Tail-bone fixes are all the rage after sitting for another injury and at the end of a season....

Play Fredrick at the point in 1/2 court and play Theiro off the ball, use him as an outlet. He can do enough other stuff that helps

I was just trying to help since you said you were a college student. But we both know that’s not true. Maybe 40 or 50 years ago. College students don’t have the time that you do to grind over UK basketball. Guys that went to school 50 years ago sure do though….

Nice angle to pose as a poor old college student that won’t see any tourney wins while in school. That’s a savvy angle, I must admit. 😂

Since I'm going to the SEC I would rather we play at 2:30 friday than 8:30 friday. That's the only spots open. Alabama plays at noon friday. A&M plays at 6:00 friday. Those 2 are locks.

The reason people are ‘hashing the same negativity’ is because UK basketball under Triple C is / has been pretty negative for too long now. The man is nuts and needs to take his medicine show down the road.

That's the MO for a lot of these guys. Just stop caring so much. But that's not what makes UK basketball UK basketball.

I hope CJ doesn't play point- Arkansas guards will eat him up and cause numerous turnovers with CJ trying to bring the ball up, IMO

I agree. I’m not advocating for it but it’s what I expect Cal to do.

I am in college, why the hell would I lie about my age to a bunch of strangers, that’s loser behavior. At my job I finish everything early and had like 3-4 hours to kill before I go workout. And you weren’t trying to help, there was nothing to help you were just being a smartass because we don’t slurp cal and believe everything he says. And the statement about not seeing a tournament win in my time at Kentucky is still very true

Yeah the argument that the 4 seed might be better might actually be true
