Does Pearl now OWN Cal?

Not excusing Cal and that loss still burns but Auburn was crazy hot even without Okeke. They should have won the championship if not for that brutal missed double dribble on UVA at the end of the game when Auburn was up.
Seems pretty relevant to me considering what happened Saturday.

Yeah , it’s just a coincidence that Cal is the only coach in history that has TWO final fours vacated. Poor Cal , nothing is ever his fault. lol.
But I have never wanted Pearl as UK’s coach. Even though he would probably do great here .

Minor point, but Okeke was their best NBA prospect. He was not their best player. He was probably 3rd or 4th, but they also had a ready-made replacement in Daniel Purifoy, who had to sit out the first half of the year.
If he owns Cal, he must have missed a few payments.
This is a sad thread. We beat Auburn basketball and Bruce Pearl, the the regular damn season, and we’ve got the cult celebrating. It’s unreal how far down the guy has taken the program.

Really seems to be more that some coaches just have a handful of guys for a few seasons that have our number.. and vice versa.
Auburn had players in recent years, as did Tennessee. Guys like Grant Williams, floppy Fulkerson, that guy who looked like Marlo from The Wire.. they seemed to matchup well with us. But they can't stay forever, just like we can't have Wall and Davis forever. Now Tenn and Auburn have roster questions.
Just how things go.
