Going to my first game at Rupp in several years with my 9 year old son. I know Cal usually does a postgame interview right after the game and fans can come down and listen. Are there any requirements for that? Like can anyone sitting lower level go down there to listen? Also he would love the chance to meet Oscar, does Oscar or any of the players stick around still to take pictures after the game? Thanks in advance.

After reading the thread title, I came in thinking the OP was organizing a rumble, or some kind of "streak the quad" situation.

I was in, fo sho.

Buuuut apparently none of those things are happening. Crap.

Players from the 96, 97 and 98 teams will be there as well as Tubby. Might be able to snag a few other pics/autographs.

The Wildcats’ teams from the 1996, 1997 and 1998 seasons are set to be honored at halftime of the Kentucky-Tennessee game, a celebration to mark the 25th anniversary of UK dominance. The 1996 and 1998 squads — coached by Rick Pitino and Tubby Smith, respectively — won the NCAA championship, and the 1997 team made it to the national title game in Pitino’s final season in charge of the Kentucky program. On Friday night, there will be a reunion for players, coaches and managers from that era. Those former Wildcats will be recognized at halftime the following day, and it’s a good bet the greatness of ’96-98 Kentucky basketball will be highlighted throughout the afternoon.

Best to get there well in advance like 2 hours before if you want a players autograph as they head to and from the locker room during warmups. The player of the game might sign a couple in the radio interview postgame but will not stick around to sign. Only while waiting to go live. Cal signs basketballs if they win. If they lose, good chance of it being Chin, Bruiser or Antigua. Cal may sign other items like a photo maybe at the end as he says they 'ruin' the marker on the basketballs referring to the dimpled basketball. Definitely not signing a napkin or cup lol

Yes if you bring a ball it CANNOT be a smooth ball. It has to be a ball with dimples for Cal to sign. And chuck it hard at his head/chest, he’ll get mad if you throw him a weak pass.

You can meet Oscar he usually comes out after the game. Ignore the staff and get close, when he looks at y’all point to your kid. He’ll tell him to come over.

You can sit and listen to Calipari if you wish.

If you wish.
