I was on vacation at our condo in Gatlinburg. I remember it like it was yesterday. 24/7 coverage for months. But the Chase was everywhere.I was at cub scout camp that week. I literally remember having the TV on while I was packing my bag and seeing them talk about finding 2 dead bodies. Went to camp and was cut off from outside world for a week. Mom picked me up and I wanted to know about the Rockets and the Rangers. She didn't mention a thing. And then as soon as we got home my dad ran out and said "OMG the chase stopped, hes in the driveway!!!" and I had no idea what was going on.
I’ll have to check that one out. That sounds awesome.Came to say this. An essentially broke dude actually owned an NHL team on paper, and came damn close to officially closing the deal.
It really doesn't have anything to do with sports other than the business he was buying was a hockey team.I’ll have to check that one out. That sounds awesome.
I went to a bunch of Mets games that year. I don't see how that post season could ever be topped. Did they mention Donnie Moore in that? Kind of sad but I always think of him when I see someone do something like the guy for the Bengals did the other day.
The "Catching Hell" one about Steve Bartman?Scapegoat
Darn, that’s the title! It was amazing (and sad)The "Catching Hell" one about Steve Bartman?
(And to a smaller extent Bill Buckner and the missed ground ball in the World Series)
That's definitely one of the most fascinating ones to me personally.
This! I binge watched the whole series in one night. It was incredible and I hate the Mets. The four part "Once upon a time in Queens" was one of my favorites. Lenny Dykstra's interviews were pure gold, was quite a mix of characters on those Mets teams.
