- Marinating a full pork loin for my wife’s family this evening. 88 year old grandmother can’t wait even though it’s 2 degrees. Got the sidewalk and steps shoveled, swept, and salted for her.

- Will do a 5 pound rib roast tomorrow evening as per tradition.

- Catchaser hooked it up last Sunday with grilled shrimp, steamed shrimp, and big barrel cut filets.

- Eating good in the neighborhood.

- Friendly reminder: Cal did not invent the DDM. That was Vance Walberg. Cal just endorsed (stole?) it to fit his style. He had Vance at his coaching clinics to teach it. Not sure where that dude is now or if he and Cal still have a relationship.

- Time for me to get back to work. Peace dove and Mother Love.

-thought about it ...but didn't wanna drag you into Manhattan, kook. 100% will do next time.

-not giving cal a minute of thought (other than reading gyero takes)...he doesn't deserve it. Not letting the turd steal my joy.

-modern puffy coat tech is wild. Picked up a packable OR 600 fill...weighs nearly nothing, is warm AF as long as you are moving.

Couture shopping for ridiculous cabana ware for my son @tombolo . So if you see a kid around Lexington who looks like Kramer or Jeffrey the pool boy… it’s probably him.

Amazing, and surprisingly affordable.

The adjustments are minor? What in the last 3 years including this season supports that he will adjust?

Sure, last year’s regular season was fine, but you could see him reverting back to grind out/shorten the game mode in late February.

1. Yes, minor. Play Wallace at the 1. Play Livingston at the 4. Stop the BS lineups.

2. Nothing suggests our idiot coach will
make these basic changes.

Proper lineups would be nice & helpful, but it still wouldn’t address our general basketball philosophy issues & the fact we run absolutely nothing offensively.

There is nothing minor at all about the MANY adjustments that need to be made.

I understand this take but who F’ing knows when your 3-5 best lineups never get run. You’re probably right.

Cal used to have a staff he trusted, they all had roles, Robic (X&O’s), Kenny (player development/management), O (recruiting). Seems as he has aged he trusts and listens less, hires mostly yes-men and former players he doesn’t respect (at least in the coaching sense). The results show.

We do occasionally run some good stuff but much of the time it gets derailed by poor spacing and execution, so many of our guys don’t have gravity and their defenders are allowed to leave them and help on ball. Like I said last year, the best thing Toppin could have done for his pro career (lol) and this team is become a 40+% shooter from the corner (what PTI was saying about Miller). Instead, he spent the offseason trying to be Kobe…I blame Cal and the staff for that.

I think it’s as simple as his “stuff” revolves around having elite talents who can beat the guy they’re guarding. He’s stifled now because his team orientation is different these days and there’s a different brand of basketball that makes spacing essential. He hasn’t adjusted because he’s an old, stubborn fat cat.

Got out early today as I always do when we get a winter storm. Need practice to keep the 4x4 skills sharp.

Kingsleys for a couple ducks and twice baked potatoes. They were already out of the burgoo which was a disappointment.

Stopped by Kroger for the prosciutto, broth, tomato sauce, celery, carrots, onion and mushrooms. Also grabbed a few Villa Antinori reds.

Can’t wait for Duck Ragu dinner tonight.

- I’ll never give up on UK, but I’ve never been this passive and care free about it either. Could careless what lineups he plays and I just hope whoever is in does what needs to be done. We’ll see.

- Got a Thomas Handy today. Don’t have any to side by side but previously thought 2016 was best, and I’m pretty sure this one is better.

- Damn I love Sopranos. Also been watching Tulsa King which is a far cry from from anything to be taken serious.

- Kids wanted to play outside. I don’t care go ahead………the wife immediately sets in on me as soon as the door closes and they play. How could I? Too cold, they’ll freeze…………5 minutes later they’re dying to come back in.

Of course I didn’t hesitate to let her know that I knew they wouldn’t make it long , and 5 minutes wasn’t that bad to figure it out!

Cal won’t change anything he’ll just hope next year he “gets to roll the ball out” and then he’ll either win a title or we’ll be awful again and he’ll hopefully go away.

My gas insert fireplace has been roaring since 9am. Water running in every sink since last night. If Christmas didn’t ruin me financially, this utility bill is going to.

Avatar was fun. The kids all LOVED it, which kinda surprised me. They don’t ever like any movie. Was long but didn’t feel forced. Unlike Wakanda Forever, which had me absolutely bored to tears.

Hosting my wife’s family for Xmas tomorrow. Going very casual. Pj’s/sweats. Apps and deserts only. Hoping most of her family decides it’s too cold and stays home. Her bum *** dad is not invited, obviously. Probably spending it with his “38 yo model girlfriend”. Unless you’re Claudia Schiffer, I think you’ve failed in life if you’re a model at 38 and dating a bum ***. Idk! Maybe he’ll show up with her anyway and I can have a krazy-esque story to tell Monday morning.

Merry Xmas GYERO! You guys bring this proud Jessamine countian a lot of joy daily. Where’s the Tylenol??

Every phone in my house just went off to alert me to a road closure nowhere near Lexington. Thanks.
Mine too. I’m not sure I know where I71 is.

Got the furnace running around 9 this morning. Woke up at 3, it wasn’t running right, just stopped running around 4. House got down to mid 40’s before I got it fixed. Good motivation to get those gas logs.

Finally got 2/3 water lines thawed out. Will hopefully finish the last one in the morning, fingers crossed it doesn’t burst. Makes me appreciate the boring *** “real” job I have. I have absolutely no desire to ever crawl under the house, in sub zero temperatures, ever again.

Knock on wood. never lost power, so I’ve got that going for me. Which is nice.

Three different players (SGA, Embiid, RJ Barrett) had 44 pts tonight. Tyrese Haliburton was one off from joining that club with 43. However, none could claim high scorer in the NBA for the night. That goes to Luka with 50.
