I think it all comes down to the Jacquez matchup. I'd like to see Toppin and Wallace take turns guarding him.

Looks like a close game Is expected.

ESPN’s matchup predictor gives Kentucky an 55.1% chance of winning. However, Bart Torvik gives UCLA the advantage at 62%, while KenPom has it at 53% in favor of the Wildcats.

Predictions: Bart Torvik picked the Bruins to win 72-70, while KenPom is going with a 72-71 victory, Kentucky!

How long ago did you look at these? I'm curious how fast they changed. I am seeing:
ESPN matchup predictor gives UK a 48.7% chance
Kenpom gives them a 45% chance
And Bart Tovik score of UCLA 74 UK 69
Haslametrics shows UCLA 71 UK 64

Very likely we lose and our miseries continue.

Only way I'm wrong (unfortunately) is if the Cats all show up to play defense, we don't have 10+ TOs, we own the boards and we hit at least 8 threes. Oh, and how about we try to get up and down the court in transition for a change, there, Cal?

Nice player who was outstanding with Juzang when UCLA made the FF run in 2021, but is shooting a dismal 25 percent from behind the arc this season.

Can anyone explain the + and - minus thing to me? I've never gambled, accept with my life, and I'm always like what does that mean. Does +1.5 mean UCLA is favored by a point and a half? Any help would be appreciated.

You misunderstand what the 'spread' means. It moves to even out the bets, has nothing to do with who is favored.

It litereally says "favorite" and "underdog".

UCLA -1.5 means UCLA is favored to win by 1.5 points. It means they are giving UK 1.5 points.

No it doesn't. It simply means they have the same number ($ amount) of bets on either side
Different services can have different lines, and if the line hasn't moved It only means they got it close to how the betting would be distributed from the start. There is knowledge of the matchup that goes into setting that number, but more so is the knowledge of how people bet on those games.
The moneyline is a better indicator of who is favored.
