Do you realize how good you have to be to beat the number one team in the country on their home court with their refs? If we don't go after Bama's coach, I don't know why not.
Have to get rid of our crazy man first.

We weren't nearly that physical and we got a lot of calls for that aggressive play. Coach P just had enough players that it didn't matter. Unlike our current coach, he used every capable player.
Right. Rick never coached them to foul, at least not when he was here. That was Nolan Richardson. Rick just wanted them to go after steals so hard they were bound to get called for wrist checks and and reaching in and he was okay with that especially since not everything got called.

Good win by the Tide. Shows the importance of free throw shooting and Houston failed to make clutch shots at the end.

The SEC is going to be extremely tough this season. UK may end up 3rd or 4th in the conference if they don’t get into any kind of rhythm on offense. Tennessee, Auburn, Missouri, Alabama and Miss State all playing well so far. Could be interesting.

We are not ready to play Alabama at this point. How sad it is to say that

I like Oats. Decent coach But outside of a handful of really good games what has he Accomplished?

Alabama the Giant killers. Problem is they are snipers. When they’re on they can beat anyone. When they’re not…..they get beat by a nobody.
I would have agreed about the team they had last year, but they just beat the #1 team in the country on the road today while only going 7/23 from deep. They primarily won this with defense, rebounding, and toughness. They’re going to be a handful in SEC play.

We will be extremely lucky to finish 4th in the league.

Probably so. But again. Like with Cal I say Show me. When Oats can win an SEC title I’ll be a little more impressed. Solid coach but collapses in the post season.

If he can accomplish what he just did without the talent that UK is able to recruit, there is no reason to think that he wouldn't be much better with better players. Win or lose, his players look like they know what they are doing. Our offense looks like mail-call with someone handing out letters.

We said the same with BCG. Not saying that is Oats. And not saying sticking with Cal is the answer. But while it’s a good win it’s not a title .

I don't know who the we were, but I wasn't a fan of BCG before he arrived and I damn sure wasn't one after he got here. I was destroyed on this board because of my post against BCG.
