I'm not sure if we have discussed this but after listening to Steveo today it got me wandering. Would you guys accept the Egg back even though we didn't so called "win it on the field"? I personally would and if I were scott Strickland I would snatch it out of his hand and give him the evil eye. It's kind of like steve said, "I remember us winning 3 straight egg bowls and then the next thing you hear is Ole Piss hires a new coach and there's rumors of violations." They can't beat us straight up so they have to cheat. So I would absolutely take it back. What are your thoughts?

I understand that, but back when we were on a level playing field they couldn't touch us. I don't know, I see and feel what your saying but 17 them, I'd take their soul if I could.
They don't make the distinction. Our forfeits from 75-77 have been filed in their memories as victories for them.

Petty is our coach's specialty and they despise him for it. For consistency's sake, Mullen should drive up there himself to get it and tweet about the trip while saying OUR State and TSUN over and over.

I'm seriously curious to know if they'd have to remove the scores from the trophy if the wins were vacated. Technically the school has to remove all items related to vacated wins...
For the record, I still think we should retroactively accept Florida's offer to forfeit the 1980 game. It was a single possession affair, and their staff spied on our practices. 1980 SEC Champs.

Let's say you're a silver metal sprinter and it comes out the gold metalist tests positive for steroids, would you accept the gold?
Not even a discussion. They have never hesitated to claim two of our wins as losses. That's a 4 game flip. I realize today they vacate wins but damn straight I'd claim them. It'd be hypocritical on their part to suggest any issue with that. Then we take them on the field also. We could close that gap in a hurry. They're cheaters across the board. Far worse than the single player clothing discount that cost us 20-22 wins. I'll take it and brag about it just like they've always done. In 10 years it's all about the records.
speaking of, what would that make the all-time record assuming, lets say 2 of their eb wins are forfeited? they cant count the wins, but we have to count the loss, so where does that leave us? vacating wins is the worst thing the ncaa ever did (which is saying a lot). forfeits actually made sense.
If the previous victory was vacated for either team, then I think the trophy should go to the MS Sports Hall of Fame until the next meeting.
