“I don’t think the heavy stuff is gonna come down for a while.”
-Rogue probably

Yeah way to believe the weather channel that profits of views and hyper-sensationalizing everything. I'm sure all the Twitter pics are accurate too...

I can literally show you pics JUST LIKE THAT from the bow of my boat and we didn't bat an eye because it's just clouds man, doesn't mean hells coming with it because it looks scary.

Jesus, we've seen this way too often. They were showing pics/videos of 2006 Wilma hitting KW during Irma because that footage made the storm surge look way worse than it was.

I'm not saying it'll be a walk in the park, but I will take bets that the eye doesn't hit Tampa at a CAT4, if there are any takers... hell I'd bet it doesn't land anywhere as a 4.

Also, you MAINLANDERS get WAY more caught up in it that Floridians. If a 4 isn't basically guaranteed to hit them they're like been there, done that, boring turn the news off please and let's drink for a few days.

GD weather nerds... SMH.

Pretty sure Kentucky MAINLANDERS were stoked they weren’t glued to the twitter feed buying into the hype of ******** tornadoes and flash flooding.

Guess you didn't partake in this;

DeSantis announced that registration for the 2022 Florida Python Challenge is now open and the annual 10-day event will be held Aug. 5-14.

.....compete to win thousands of dollars in prizes while removing invasive Burmese pythons from the wild. The competition is open to both professional and novice participants.

-Florida is for visiting. Call me nuts but I like seasonal weather.

-I have family ties/responsibilities in CKY...so I'm unlikely to retire anywhere. But if I did it'd be on Watauga Lake (in east tenn) no state income tax and 30 mins from Boone, NC.

-re: florida. tentative plans to join some folks on a fishing trip to the keys in Feb. Long way away...but still something to look forward to.

Take me up on the bet the eye won't hit Tampa and def not as a 4. I bet it doesn't make landfall as a 4.

The whole ecological disaster of Burmese pythons in the Everglades fascinates me for some reason. Been following it for years. The clever methods the wildlife scientists use are fantastic, but they'll also just pay all the rednecks in that ******** state to go out there and kill as many as they can.

Just a great little American story to follow tbh. It's got everything.

Our previous mayor (an old white dude) rose to a national level of prominence towards the end of his term, almost solely due to his championing the cause of removing 4 very well known local confederate statues. Since then, he has signed a book deal, made ~ $1 million/year in his civil rights-centric PAC/foundation/whatever tf he runs, and was nominated by the current President to oversee the **gulp* one TRILLION dollar infrastructure deal. Thank god, a white, 60 year old, filthy rich, private school educated bureaucrat from a prominent political family could make good as the champion of civil rights in the deep south.

Meanwhile, if you're scoring at home -- this city just took over as the murder capital of America (per capita), the population is shrinking, and every data point imaginable for people of color is infinitely worse than their white counterparts still today. Life expectancy, incarceration rate, income, COVID, cancer, eduacation, etc, etc.

What I'm saying is, as it relates to renaming the Braves, Indians, whoever -- I just can't f'ing believe people fall for this culture wars ********. Congrats on your OJ prize.

Easy, Cantore. Every forecast I've seen today has shifted the track south of Tampa, so your bet isn't exactly going out on a limb.
Actually, cut it loose said around 9am that he was leaving because cat 4 and kooky posted some BS pic outside Tampa making fun of time at like 2pm but don’t yelling at me sir talk to them lol

😂😂😂 also just noticed @Kooky Kats pic was from YESTERDAY at 7pm you know when the storm wasn’t even passed Cuba yet 😂😂😂 okay big fella, good call. It’s still not there yet but go ahead bro! 😂😂😂

Florida, certain parts saint augustine, the keys, destin, etc, are the best for every day living if you’re okay with heat which to me beats the heck out of cold for 3 months I may move back to the Keys one day but Clearwater is way more likely.

Okay I’ll leave you weather people alone now since I’ve be vindicated 😉

The only time Florida suits my needs is the middle of winter. Hour and a half flight to a shot of sun and warmth to revive the soul. Other than that, got nothing for it.

Kentucky people who go there in the summer are insane. They need to learn Traverse City or UP. Closer, better topography and climate, ring perch, patsies and smoked white fish, etc.

Derelict my balls.

- F Florida. Got nothing for it now that Spring Break isn’t there for me. Had fun and all at the wedding, but found West Palm Beach to be one of the more bizarre places I’ve ever been.

- That said, I could do Georgia or the Carolinas. Always kind of liked that Carolina blue. Bring out the color of my eyes lol

- That Mardy Fish-Andy Roddick Untold was outstanding. Roddick is a cool MFer and awesome of Fish to share his story. Appreciated his BBdK-esque workout binge.

And say what you want about Bill Simmons, but his 30for30 singlehandedly brought into vogue the prestige sports doc. God bless him for that.

- Fall always brings fond memories of Ron Swanson.

- Daughters on the tail end of an ear infection which is awesome because I’ve been skimming some of that sweet pink Amoxicillin nectar.

- The weather is brilliant. The Cats are ranked as highly as they’ve been in my lifetime, with a big’un on the SEC road in a few days. I’ll be at Paul Brown for the first time in years Thursday night. And our Top 5 basketball team is waiting in the wings. This is our time, GYERO. Enjoy it. God bless.

Yes we had two extra very small children in MY ROW (I have every ticket from one end to the other), so we weren't taking someone's seat or squeezing anyone out, just two very small children. I understand we were breaking "the rules" but just speak to me normally. He came at me right off the bat like we had some history of issues and was red *** yelling at me from the start. Show respect, get respect. Be a dick, and I'll be a dick back. That old blue coat douche needs to go.

Watched a single blue coat this past Sat kick out like 20-25 HS kids all by himself, in a half empty section in an upper level corner. Also had a security guy at the gate taking personal pride in finding and throwing away everyones hidden beers. Scanning people up and down to his absolute best effort. Not very SEC.

My auto repair guy has an employee that gave it a go in one of those "kill a big python" contests in Florida. Guy apparently had a youtube channel of him and his buddies hunting wild boar, and catfish noodling, so I guess this was some type of hybrid dream of both of those. That was a few years back and he's not been around the last few times i've been in.

I assume hes dead.

Will never understand going to Florida over and over and over and over again on vacation. This is a huge, beautiful country, not to mention foreign travel. Go see something besides a damn beach and a person wearing a mouse costume.

People like what they like. Not everyone is an explorer.

I’m kind of looking forward to the day I have a regular old beach vacation spot I hit every year.

Not having to do another GD beach vacation is a reason I’d consider moving to Florida.

My wife’s aunt and her husband have been to the same resort in Jamaica for 15 years in a row. We went last year with them. They knew everyone, all the good local spots to eat, where to get the best weed, the good local guides etc. I mean I guess it was pretty cool to have that but it’s not my style. I’d rather visit 15 different places in 15 years, but some people just get comfortable and do the same thing, like always going out to the same restaurant.

I get that, but not exactly "exploring" imo to go see Niagara Falls, or upper Michigan, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, etc. All a matter personal taste, yes, but I'd honestly rather stay home and work than go on a "beach vacation"
