These greys were 100 times better than Anthracite.

It’s amazing to see how much gaudier the checkerboards have gotten on our current unis versus these. Even if I disliked, those were an understated accent. Complete trash now.

Hate the grey unis and always have. Love the all whites and the anthracite. Like any combo of blue and white. All blues are fine, but last place. All Blues, the song, is good however. Silver helmet would be preferable to chrome.

It may have already been mentioned in here, but Vandy's uniforms for the Hawaii game were dope. Modern take on a classic look.

Rural Ohio is just weird. It's just as backward/country/redneck/opioid-addled as anywhere in Kentucky, but without the southern accents. I think that's what throws me off. Rack WCC on Oxford, though. Cool little town. Some decent restaurants/coffee shops for such a tiny little place. Brick streets rule. Some smoke walkin around for sure.

We spend a lot of time up around there with the wife's fam, including the first half of this week. It's all great aunts, basically. The kids worship those trips, which is kind of funny. No cousins around, hell, no one under 75, really. Just some old *** toys in the basement.

Idk if I can listen to any more pre-season football talk. I've listened to or read 346 different analyses of the depth chart. I'm back to being nervous about the season. Love seeing some of the freshmen break through, but relying on so many worries me, especially starting two on the left side of the OL. Just kick it off already.

Keep your head on a swivel, Will.

- First time in D.C. since 8th grade. Absolutely loved the city. Didn't spend a whole lot of time sightseeing, but definitely a cool experience being immersed in the place. Looking forward to heading back in a few months for a Fall Break trip with the family to visit schools and see the sights.

- Nice to see the Redlegs get over on the Nationals in person. Nats wore ridiculous cherry blossom-themed uniforms. Bonzo will probably disagree, but I just didn't see much charm in that ballpark. Might have been the fact that I was part of a convention group outing and didn't have the time/opportunity to really look around beforehand. But other than the Presidents race, there just wasn't much distinct about the place. That Presidents race was fun, though. I probably laughed harder than a 48-year-old man should at it.

- Trend from my childhood that I'm glad went away...MLB players wearing caps under their batting helmets. I always hated that as a kid. Didn't feel right, and looked ridiculous. Looked even more ridiculous when Eddie Murray did it.

- Kevin Hart is fine in doses. Bernie Mac, for my money, is the greatest black comic of all time. He was funny in every single situation I ever saw him...stand-up stage, sitcom, film, even him reading the audio version of his autobiography was great.

- College football buy/sell (proportionate to preseason rankings). BUY: Miami, Brigham Young. SELL: Notre Dame, Pittsburgh

I am being very cautious with my expectations for the Football Cats this season. You can call it "Battered Fan Syndrome" or call me a p***y. Whatever.

There is too much distraction right now with CRod, other missing starters/captains, bickering athletic dept, etc. If there is one thing I've noticed about the likes of Saban and Belichick, you don't allow for any "outside noise" to creep into your program. It seems like since the calendar has flipped to August, there's been pant-loads of outside noise hovering over this program. It's an issue.

A nice, swift ***-kicking of a MAC team may be the cure. But color me concerned as we head into the swamp in a couple of weeks.

I love CRod, but not having him oddly makes this offense Will Levis and because of that it makes me more confident. We have capable runners that can also pass catch out of the back(better than CRod) and our coaches won’t blinding force run action for them like they would have before.

I also expect a tough game Saturday honestly. First game, solid mid major with a chip on their shoulder, we have a new OC, and a whole new WR set basically compared to last year.

Not sure what isn’t obvious about a mid major squad playing a ranked SEC team early in the season as a 20 point dog that you need explained, but their starting QB has a brother that has lingered in the NFL for 6-7 years so I’m going to assume he is solid and ready to play.

That said the line was 20, 1 pt below a football score which to me says Vegas wants some UK money on the line.

Tim Couch’s uncle/cousin was the QB on our fraternity flag football team.

We didn’t win the championship. All I’ve got.

Their QB is pretty good.

With him they played P5 team Minnesota pretty tight. And they put up a lot of yards and points the last half of the season. Hopefully, our front 7 establishes dominance early and doesn't give him time to throw it downfield.

They had a good D last year and lost most of it. I expect us to punish them.

This could be a close game, based on past openers. But the closer I look at it, the more I expect us to kick the ever-loving **** out of them. It's time to start proving we have taken the next step up the ladder.

-oh great, now willy is a buckeye fan *and* a Redhawks fan. What's next Kenyon?

^assuming your "allegiance" is sexually transmitted*...Marge know about your well educated side-piece?

*still haven't forgotten about @SAECATFAN 's vandy fetish.

I got nothing against the Red Hawks, they are sort of just... there. They did always have good looking girls, as I believe wcc has mentioned.

And, hey, Marge's sister did go to Miami.

We’re going to beat the F outta Miami of Ohio. Let’s get that out of the way now. Absolutely beat the living f* out of them.
Listen, I’m one of the believers in this season, and I think we will be undefeated when UGA comes to town.

But this week, I think we win by 10-14 making it a game our starters play to the end and several backups get meaningful clock that they’ll need the following week in case they have to play more than expected at Florida.

Your post suggest you’ll be disappointed by that, but I absolutely hope you are right.

  • My new Lenovo Legion work computer took a complete dump during a zoom meeting this morning…. Our IT dept in ATL tapped into it and cannot fix it… so much for those unsaved sketches and proposals I was almost done with. Piece of trash. I gotta ship back.

  • bought tickets to Army / ULM football game in West Point. Bucket List to see a game up there in fall. UK’s bye week of course. $35.

  • Bonobo concert 9/25 BKN.

  • Tedeschi Trucks @ Beacon 9/30

  • My son has a girl’friend’ at UK already. Rascal.

  • Made a risotto tonight. Was a triumph. Really great dish to show off your cooking chops and riff with flavor combinations. So many secrets… start with lardons of bacon in a Crueset Dutch oven, wooden spoon, and go.

  • Dread going into city tomorrow. Big meetings. Gross

  • Got this weekend to teach little man to dive in pool… he’s this close.🤏🏻
    Mitch gone yet?
