According to reports, he was super private and most people didn't even know he was married.
What a career that guy had. For a 4 year period, he was an all-time great pitcher.....and then just disappeared. Had a body type like wcc (if he went on a GYERO weight loss challenge diet). Despite his 2 CY Youngs and his dominance, he wasn't even in the bigs long enough to qualify for a full pension. I really miss watching that guy pitch.

Instead we have a former punter and an injured DB, who makes his own questionable decisions, publicly saying bad **** about the basketball team. That is 100x worse than anything Cal said. Cal never really said anything bad about the football team, unless saying "I hope they win 10 games and a bowl game" is bad.
It's stupid. It's bad pub. And it would have completely gone away, if...
a) Cal doesn't even mention the football team at all.
b) Stoops just ignored the comment. Nobody would've paid attention to it.
c) Tucker doesn't use a snippet of the whole quote as a TMZ attention grabber.
d) UKO stayed on the UNC boards where he touching belongs.
To me, this is a big fuss about absolutely nothing. It isn't going to have any effect on recruiting at all. And it might just piss off both of those stubborn millionaires enough to give them a touching edge.
Cal, the last 2 years are unacceptable. Well, the last regular season was ok, but you can't lose to a touching Peacock. Just shut up and coach.
Stoops, you want to be taken more seriously? Take the next step. Do better than 8-21 vs ranked teams. The SEC East has never been more beatable than it has been the last few years (with the obvious exception of UGA).
