This evening while waiting for my order at one of my favorite food trucks, was talking basketball w/ random guy there that was big UNC fan. He not only knew our guys, he knew their first names (CJ, Shavir, and Jacob).
Did he say why? I mean, that's impressive. Wonder if a buddy or dad or something is a UK fan and watches games with them. This evening while waiting for my order at one of my favorite food trucks, was talking basketball w/ random guy there that was big UNC fan. Personally, I would b surprised if Oscar was actually 6'8 or 6'9. I remember other teams' 6'9 players looking a couple inches over ours last year, especially big O
Well. I mean. We did beat them down. This evening while waiting for my order at one of my favorite food trucks, was talking basketball w/ random guy there that was big UNC fan. He not only knew our guys, he knew their first names (CJ, Shavir, and Jacob).

Believe me, I know! I've lived/worked in the middle of them for 26 years now.Congratulations. You should buy a lottery ticket right now.
Because you managed to meet the one tarheel fan in 100,000 who isn’t a deluded, arrogant, defensive turd who not only denies their program has been dirty since the days Frank McGuire packed the team with paid ringers from New York, but will insist UNC-Cheats is the real basketball royalty while Kentucky has managed to hide corruption under Pitino and Calipari.
No. Cary, which is next to Raleigh, about 25min from Chapel Hill. Was this in Lexington? If so, I probably know that guy.
I never heard of empanadas before, I looked them up and they look great. What filling was in it? Looks like it would have fruit, like a small fried pie or turn over. But if it had meat, cheese, veggies, ect. sounds good.I know last names of guys on other teams, but only first names of my (our) team (UK). I may know a few first names on other teams, but not many.
I got empanadas, that's all that truck makes.
our orders were done, and he took his inside the brewery and I took mine home.
He seemed a little bit weird. But I can respect he knew his basketball. Although he was surprised Oscar is only 6'8 or 6'9.
I told him that Toppin may be the surprise guy this year.
And though CJ didn’t play last year, he lit them up for 21 two years ago at Iowa.Well. I mean. We did beat them down.
It’s not unusual to know your Daddy’s name.
I don't doubt your story. But living in NC, my experience:This evening while waiting for my order at one of my favorite food trucks, was talking basketball w/ random guy there that was big UNC fan. He not only knew our guys, he knew their first names (CJ, Shavir, and Jacob).
I've had them from a couple different trucks, and many years ago a restaurant. This one is the best. They have:I never heard of empanadas before, I looked them up and they look great. I agree with you. My shock was why I posted this thread.I don't doubt your story. But living in NC, my experience:
If you combined the Basketball Brains of every Tarhole into one person, that guy would still flunk 1st grade.
State fans get a pass for me.I agree with you. My shock was why I posted this thread.
The Duke fans are even less knowledgeable, but a little less arrogant. And the NC St fans, are in so bad of an inferiority complex it is sad.
I understand what you're saying, but many of the threads on this site devolve into something other than what the OP intended within the first ten or fifteen posts. Not to be rude, as Oscar is probably 6’8-6’9, he’s not 6’7 but what does this have to do with the thread title or thread itself? Lol
Forgive me for questioning you, especially since you live there, but Duke fans are LESS arrogant than UNC fans?I agree with you. My shock was why I posted this thread.

I would throw Indiana in there oh wait never mind it’s still 2011 their mindsetsI don’t like them at all but Kansas and North Carolina fans are the only ones out there in the same galaxy as us as far as basketball knowledge.

I'm not exactly sure what the thread topic actually is, because the OP hit the "start thread" button before he finished the story, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't about the arrogance of duke and uNC fans.Forgive me for questioning you, especially since you live there, but Duke fans are LESS arrogant than UNC fans?
My sisters in laws are IU fans and they bring up the watford shot everytime, I show them my championship shirt from that year, they usually stop talking after thatI used to but they’re so bitter and demented at this point, any knowledge has eroded.
I am equally obsessed with UNC so I can understand. I know all their players and follow them closely because they are our only true peer. This evening while waiting for my order at one of my favorite food trucks, was talking basketball w/ random guy there that was big UNC fan. Had some fantastic empanadas in the Miami airport. Worth a layover in Miami just for this experience.I never heard of empanadas before, I looked them up and they look great. What filling was in it? Or troublesome . . . may have been talking to himselfThe fact that you live 25 mins from UNCs campus makes this story even more wild
The OP stated 2 posts above me that the UNC fan was surprised that Oscar was 6'9..... so... just conversing with the OP if that is OK?Not to be rude, as Oscar is probably 6’8-6’9, he’s not 6’7 but what does this have to do with the thread title or thread itself? Lol

If O is 6'9, all other CBB players we have played against are in a conspiracy together to understate their height by a couple of inches. For example, pull up the Kansas game and compare their 6'7 to 6'9 players to ours
