I remember thinking he was a slight frame player, he looks a bit tougher, not so slight in this video. Liking what I see.

Don't really follow recruiting. Is this a situation where we get either him or DJ, but not both? Aren't we after a teammate of DJ's too? Wonder if we get this guy, and not DJ, will that hurt our chances with his teammate?

Because we are a little gun shy since Pandora’s Box got opened.
i do not consider that bad situation as the norm but as an outlier that Cal will never let happen again
do you feel that it is the new norm?

i understand the frustration we all feel over the Sharpe situation
but i never let one bad apple spoil the harvest

Hard to say. The door has been opened now though. And if Cal let’s it happen again, Mitch will be highly pressured to tell Cal to hit the road.

I know. It’s been so depressing with the National player of the year returning, an all SEC PG returning along with a senior Jacob Toppin. Two stud freshmen, a knock down shooter in Frederick and a top 5 preseason rating. It’s just been a brutal off-season. Some of you guys, man…

We’ve got a lot of retuning pieces. That’s great. It would be nice to see Cal get a win in the recruiting column against Payne and Pearl though.

There has been no harvest for some time.

And the bad apples are not just Sharpe. The "me-first" apples are everywhere these days.

Sharpe
Askew
Boston
Montgomery
Vanderbilt
SKJ
Baker
Juzang
Whitney
Green
Wynyard
Gabriel
Matthews
Fletcher
Brooks
etc.

That's certainly a lot of "me-first" bad apples.

I'm just glad the coaching staff "is properly identifying" kids that want to be here.

Vanderbilt was more his handlers I think. And at least he had kind of an excuse. He had been injured. So I get “shutting it down” there too a degree. Still kinda selfish, but I get it. And he did actually play.

Juzang got homesick, which happens to everyone, and again, he still played and played for his other team. Hard to say he’s a “bad apple” at all.

Askew just got in over his head here and tried to go somewhere where he could be more impactful. And then Beard dropped a pressure bomb on him there. Again it a “bad apple” per se.

The rest of that I can see.
