@GrandePdre : Have been meaning to ask you for a while from mentions of your nephew (Brad), a nephew from Mike or Lynn? Both really cool and long ago friends when I was around Brad in youth sports and high school soccer. Brad was always so competive it always tickled me.

3 seed from the West.

Steph an all timer man. Props to the rest of squad, especially Klay & the culture. So fun

But little Curry, the ANTI NBA prospect, has them contending or winning literally every year they’re somewhat healthy. 6 Finals (4 titles) In 8 years for a dismal franchise before he arrived??

Fuc* KD.

Incredible.

😍

- Immediately thought Durant was among the biggest losers in this. Looks like even more of a ***** move now riding Curry’s coattails.

- Also, is Curry the most likeable superstar of our lifetime? I’d say yes. Peyton Manning is up there. Griffey. Barry Sanders. Jeter. Barkley.

Those 4K floor level camera views showed how incredibly good NBA players are and how fast the game moves at that level. It’s insane how skilled and crazy athletic these dudes are.

Curry was constantly moving and finding the right space on the floor seeing plays develop in advance. Maybe the edibles I had consumed helped but I sat there just blown away watching Curry and the Warriors play last night.

-Pratt was awesome. Ignorantly left him out of the guys that really took advantage of being a UK Basketball player. That guy owned it. Always extremely nice when we passed. Just an absolute legend. The program is going to miss that dude.

-My dude Cameron got the Trump endorsement, which I couldn't give less a f*ck about, but I assumed would be wasted on Craft. Good for him, great guy, and from a cool family. Sad state for the GOP to be living on that losers coat tails, but I digress.

-Not a Warriors fan at all but hate all Boston Sports. So, congrats Steph. Wouldn't mind seeing him finish with more rings than Bron. I just can't stand Draymond.

-I haven't been paying attention but are Steph's parents having some kind of **** show feud in the stands? Mom was acting weird af after the game.

-Jordan Spieth didn't shake Kevin Na's hand 😱MG. Golfers are such dorks.

-CPGs where are they now on Golf Boys is cold blooded.

-If you're over 25 and you ask a friend to help you move, you're a real dick. Only exception is a life altering bottom of the barrel real low place in life.

~Pratt...first real intro to UK basketball, as he was dating our 2nd grade student teacher in 1970. He would come to our class on occasion and even bring big Dan with him at times. As a 7 year old, talk about a thrill. Fast forward and he was always one of the nicest and most cordial people to talk to when you would see him around town. Prayers to his family.

~Props to the Warriors...outside of a very special player in Curry, nothing about them screams juggernaut. Thompson, Wiggins, Green, Poole, all very good in their own way.....instead, their entire makeup spells out "team", which in the highlight reel NBA world, is a rarity to see it mesh so well. Others need to take notes.

~Jill needs to put Joe out of his misery and get him in a home somewhere....let him ride off into the sunset eating his applesauce in peace. Otherwise, we're going to be in for one helluva crash and burn scenario until the good guys take the house in 5 months.

~Vegas in a month w/ my two brothers...first time they've been there in 20 years. Bucket list.

~Friday 5....
Leave the Door Open...Silk Sonic (one helluva concert in LV last month)
How Do You Like Me Now...Toby Keith (get well soon big guy)
Ghost...Boss (2023 tour will be epic)
We the People...Kid Rock
Nothin' to Lose...KISS

Surprised PTI wasn't in town this week for this:

THE LAST ANNUAL HEART OF THE SOUTH ROAD RACE

Frankfort, KY to Castle Rock, GA

327 Miles

The runners will assemble on Wednesday morning (Jun 15), park their vehicles in a hayfield atop Sand Mountain in North Georgia, and board tour buses. The only thing they will know about their destination is that it will be between 300 and 350 miles away. Once they arrive, they will be able to access maps of the course they will take to get them back to their vehicles. After an overnight stay in a hotel, the field will be bused to the start the following morning. From there, with only the supplies they can carry or obtain along the way, they have 10 days to get back.

-steely dan show last night. Hot as balls...at this point its Fagan and a bunch of studio guys. Great players but a little sterile for my taste but Mrs. Rudd had a great time. Mission accomplished. Don't get me wrong: it was a pleasant experience...but there was no conversion, so to speak.

^told everyone to look for a mid thirties *yoked* chick amongst the crowd...no luck.

-really happy we get another year of Oscar. What a top shelf young man.

-may/June flew/flying by.

-need help moving something heavy? I'm your guy..."moving moving": cmon man.

Borrowing a quick truck for large item from Lowes is one thing… an all day struggle packing and unpacking and moving furniture? GTFOH.

I don’t ask friends to weed my garden or flower beds either (which is menial task I hate #2 behind moving).

It's not a weird take. Hire movers like an adult.

while this is correct at a certain point in life, 25 is a little young in that scenario. However this is a lifelong friend, regardless of the fact that he and his wife are more than able to pay a moving company, so of course I said ok. Got me out of town for a day and some good exercise, plus I won’t see them nearly as often so whatever. That said I’m really too old for that ****.

- OK, Anth. Whatever. Guess I’m just more tolerant of awful friends.

- Do golfers have a fetish with seeing hot woman swing a golf club or something? Shows up in my suggested reels all the time. I’m like ok. I mean where are the vids of girlies shooting FTs or fielding a grounder?

- Good news I suppose is I expect the whole bourbon secondary market to halt. Had already been noticing a slowdown.

Saw something on this;
Dell Curry is currently dating the wife of another couple, Steph's mom is dating the husband

Swingers or is ole Dell just stepping out?

That guy became pseudo famous after The Barkley documentary was released on Netflix. He’s a true old school mad scientist of putting together uniquely stupid races. Most of which I have no desire at all to run.

He’s done some really big stuff, though. Good for him.

Bigs Backyard Ultra is the one I’m most fascinated by at the moment,

Went down the YouTube rabbit hole on the Barkley marathons just before my son ran No Business. Where Dreams Go to Die was particularly brutal.

@rudd1, I did indeed miss the show and I am verklempt about it. Just wasn't in the cards with buying a new car and paying for a wedding this year.

I am genuinely upset about Mike Pratt. As I drove around 471 last night, thinking about being mad I was missing Steely Dan, I got sad thinking about Father's Day and how I get to spend so little time with my dad now that I'm grown and he and mom live 500 miles away. I, of course, found Steely Dan because of Dad. His and my opportunities for shooting the ****, silly free wheeling conversations talking about nothing and everything are so few now. I didn't have cable growing up and my dad and I listened to all non-CBS games with Leach and Pratt together. Dad and I loved Pratt's calls, and Pratt felt like a bonus grandpa or something we spent so much time "with" him. Have to admit I feel a little as though a link to my dad is now gone.

I will be calling him tonight. /emotionalposts

Pratt put kids at ease in his interviews and I always marveled at that. In spite of the generational/age difference, he made them comfortable while also making them feel like the best basketball player in the world. Speaking of quips, "young fella" was his and it always felt so warm, like a hug from BBN.

He will be sorely missed. I felt like he was the fan's ambassador to the program.
