I had not been aware of these numbers. I was a little worried his numbers may be inflated because of the lower level of play at a smaller conference—and that may still be true to some extent, but these stats indicate he can score in a variety of ways. That versatility is promising, and it helps quell some of the worries I may have had about him.
Last year’s team was good offensively (until the very end), but outside of Washington the team lacked players that could score at each level of the court
consistently. Reeves is the type of player that helps add some much needed versatility that was lacking last year. Last year’s team struggled when games got tight because of this hole in their game.
Hopefully Reeves helps ensure next year’s team does not struggle in this regard.
