Boy you can't help degrading one of our players or coaches. You are the biggest idiot Troll. Tyty is a lottery pick, uh, your Tarheel is not getting drafted. Oh he's way better. Idiot

Meh....35% shooter. Got hot in some big games though, give him that much.
Which is why he's returning to school. His 3pt % improved 10% from his freshman to sophomore year. He's not above putting in the hard offseason work.

His big areas of focus this summer will be finishing in the paint and shot selection. If he can get his 2pt % up above 40%, it will go a long way towards improving his draft stock and making UNC a better team.

Yeah, feel like he needs to let the game come to him a bit more. I have family who are big Tar Heel fans and they weren't thrilled with him most of the season.

UNC should be ranked #1 or #2 pre-season given they return everyone from a Final Four team except Manek.
Hopefully they end up like UCLA this past season.
A middle of the road team who is being overrated because they got hot at the right time.

So odd how players come back at UNC, Kansas giving them teams laden with upperclassmen, while Duke and UK lose most freshman every year.

He missed the game tying 3 against KU which would of sent it to overtime.

The last 22 seconds of that game was a horrible coaching job by Hubert. He should have called a time out and set up a play. He didn't and they looked like a junior high team in panic mode.

Who cares? They sucked the entire year and then got hot. It happens. They are this years UCLA.

They played horrible teams in the ACC to finish the season after they lost to Pitt (let that one sink in), except for Duke. Then, they got the easiest region (along with UK). We crapped the bed. They managed to blow one big lead and win and another big lead and lose.

When Harris stepped out of bounds there was still 5 seconds on the clock and it was reviewed for a long time, they had plenty of time to set up a play, Love just missed the shot.

It's good we can brag about our NBA picks while other teams actually make final four's.
Who is Bragging? I'm stating facts. I'm sure not bragging about Tyty going 2 for 10 against St Peters. This is purely what NBA thinks and the fact @Wildcats1st always talks negative about our players and coaches. Yesterday he wants to fire Kyle Tucker. Hes an idiot and you're an idiot taking up for him. FACT

Love
15.9 ppg, 3.4r, 3.6a, 2.7t, 37%FG, 36%3FG...took 534 shots

TyTy
12.5ppg, 3.5r, 3.9a, 1.6t, 45%FG, 35%3FG....took 337 shots

Who is more efficient exactly?

I know who was more efficient in March. Glad we can prop up our kid going to the NBA after losing in the 1st round to a 15 seed though.

I am talking about the possession before that one. UNC had the ball down 3 with 22 seconds. Bad shot, rebound, horrible shot, rebound, horrible pass by Manek. KU turned the ball over to give UNC one last chance to tie but the previous possession UNC was clueless.

TyTy was 2 for 10 against St. Peters.

Ty was never the same after his injury. It wasn't just one game either. Hopefully, he recovers and plays well in the NBA. But, Love is being overestimated in this thread by some. He was a volume shooter. Ty will go high in the draft. Love would not.

Of course we weren't awful. But Cal has lowered the standards until some think that was really a good season for UK.

It was certainly an odd year. The tournament pretty much dictates what is a good, avg or bad year. Cal hasn't changed that imo.

So this season was a disappointment...best way I could name it I think.

Was he? Lol. My comments about TyTy have zero to do with NBA. I don't even really watch the NBA any longer.

But here are Love's stats March on...was it him or the people around him that got UNC to FF?

Like I said he had a couple of good tourney games....big games and I gave him credit for that.

Absolute truth.

Hubert made a big change late in the season. He stopped splitting the point guard duties between Love and RJ Davis. He made RJ the full time PG. That's when the team became more successful. And taking the PG duties away from Love stopped most of the things that he was doing that hurt the team.

I'm excited to see how Love and the other returning players improve over the offseason. They all have things they can get better at. And honestly this is why I love college ball. Connecting with players you cheer for over several years, watching them grow and get better. Love definitely has a bunch of ways he can improve.

Dude, teams get hot. We mopped Carolina by 30. Bad end to an otherwise good season for us.

But just keep tearing down the team you root for....
That game was in December. They would have beat us in March considering they took out Baylor, Duke, and almost won the national championship. Their season was better than ours.

His stats went up pretty much across the board. While he did have only 3.6 assists per game, same as last season, he actually lowered his average turnovers per game slightly despite playing about 7 minutes more per game.

Unlike Kentucky though the Tarheels get to have him for another year and get to watch his development. Meanwhile, Kentucky fans, if they so choose to, get to wonder what NBA jersey they'll ahve to watch him play in next season.
