Again - when he makes these comments:

1. If true - we are in far worse shape than we thought (why would you openly admit being so out of touch with your program over and over? Don't see or talk to players regularly? Don't know when they make public statements?)

2. If false - you are digging deeper levels of distrust.

And, like many a politician, he thinks he can talk around it and that people will forget what he says from day to day. No way to run a UK program.

This.

Someone called in to the KSR preshow this morning and summed it up perfectly (if you're on here bro sorry I dont remember your name or I'd give you your credit) by quoting Rebert DeNiro in "Casino"

"That means, either he was in on it or he was too dumb to see what was goin' on."

It will be interesting to see how Cal's legacy evolves here in the years after he leaves.

The fans pushed Rupp out but his legacy was already cemented.

The fans pushed Hall out but he became beloved.

Sutton pushed himself out and now he's merely a footnote.

Pitino left a hoops god, but threw away his legacy soon after.

Seemingly everyone threw out BCG and he'll forever be an embarrassment of a hire.

Cal? This could go several different ways. But here's my concern. He eventually leaves and the program is in a complete shambles because he can't control turnover. He leaves the cupboard completely bare and the next coach is set up to fail. I can actually envision a scenario where Cal becomes our most despised coach. Not saying that will happen, but I can see how it could. Man, I hope not.

He was visiting tornado victims and didn't know anything about Sharpe until Antigua told him.Why would fans be mad he asked.
I sincerely hope Sharp is at UK this fall. I would then expect every negative poster on this board to post their respective apologies and eat a huge portion of crow. I despise all this negativity. Sharp being at UK was always an iffy situation. Just like Diallo was iffy. The issue has not yet been resolved and everyone’s got their panties in a wad. How pathetic are you negative Nellies

Which is essentially what UK fans said about Pitino with HookerGate and Roy with the fake classes. And we were right on both counts.

let me add, the fans leaned on tubby and he got the message and left. In hindsight it’s the best thing he could have done to preserve his legacy.

Tell you what homie I'll gladly do that if you'll show your gullible *** up when he stays in the draft. What say you?

As for the last point, for a certain segment of fans on here, he's either right or they just don't care what he says. Hell, he could probably bang their inflatable girlfriends and they'd be okay with that too ( they'd probably hold her hair)

The only one who should be apologizing is Calipari.

Cal maybe in the beginnings of some sort of dementia to A. Not know and B. Yo opine why fans would be mad. Or it could be that he is just a pathological liar. Take your pick

The sums up the problem with Cal.He honestly doesn't get why UK fans would be upset about a player signing here and never actually playing.Sharpe will have millions and it's all about the kids.
Cal and the kids are happy because they are all millionaires at the end of the day.

He expects our fans to perpetually be okay with buying a lemon from the lot, only to have the engine drop out halfway down the road.

I’m not as anti Cal as some, but what bothers me more than anything else is the constant spinning and salesmanship. If he would just come out and be honest about this stuff from the start I would be fine with it. Instead, it’s spinning and trying to bs everyone. At least when he first came he was better at it. These days it’s just kinda sad. He needs a new PR guy or something.

He’s gaslighting the fans now. He called us out for being negative😂

Ha ha, I posted that clip in a thread here. Didn't make the call, though because I stopped listening several years ago.

If he stays in the draft he stays in the draft. So what???? Cal will replace the headcount and we will move forward. You can then gloat that you were correct with all of your negativity. I can say I was looking at the glass half full and I can say you were looking at the glass empty
You can say you were right.

Been saying that. Didn’t need to listen to KSR to get that message. Just gotta look.
