Wow....

“We’ve known for a long time that this kid will be in the upcoming Draft," said the scout. "Everything he’s done since has hurt his perception. How do we trust a kid whose camp brazenly lies to every single person they come across?”

What did his transcript that he submitted to UK say? Bet $100 it didn’t say May…
If not, Cal wasn’t lying, he was lied to.

why do people assume stuff before ALL the facts come out?
The issue isn’t his transcript or his graduation date. That’s just a smoke screen. If Washington was telling the NBA people that Sharpe would be in the draft there’s no way that Calipari didn’t know as well. To believe otherwise is being incredibly naïve and acknowledge that Calipari has no NBA contacts when we know that isn’t the case.

Calipari had the opportunity to do right by the program and he chose not to. I’m not one of those with pitchforks outside his house and saying he should be fired, but I totally understand why some feel that way.

Anybody with half a brain has been saying the same thing for months.

I’m tempted to make a prison reference, but I’ll keep it clean. Some grown *** men are going to make an example of Mr. Sharpe! If he ever ends up actually making it out on the court, that is!

I coach a high level program and talk to coaches all the time. These guys are looking for reasons to not recruit you. Character matters…someone will always take a chance, but no one wants to be connected to someone that they can’t trust.

THIS. Why in the world the NBA wants to help cover for Cal is beyond me. EXCEPT maybe because Cal is headed there this summer.

Hmmmm
As much as I want to believe it will affect Sharpe it could just be bad mouthing so he’ll fall to that particular team

I’ll be honest..if all this is true Im not sure I want the kid back here if he does decide to withdraw from. The draft
Should a woman take back a cheating boyfriend?

Once he's gone, GTFO.

Exactly. Your actions matter, and his actions should be alarming for any NBA team that needs to land an elite player.

I believe they’ve always had the plan to go in this years NBA draft. I don’t believe Cal knew on the front end but believe he figured it out along the way and never reacted to it. For me it would be simple.. suit up and help the team or get your **** and hit the road…. His MO coming out of HS is that he’s soft. I believe this is what they were trying to improve through practice at UK, but didn’t want the world to see it.

Yeah, but if the transcript said Dec, Cal would have “known” he wasn’t eligible.

I think Cal is as surprised and pissed as most on this board…

but the pitchfork folks always have to burn something….not you…your points are reasonable and rationale…most aren’t, LOL

Just to add to this.. I cut 2 kids this year for character issues. One trying to play on my team and another and lying about the reasons for missed practices (couldn’t keep up with both) and another for on the floor antics that made our team and organization look bad. If you want college coaches to take you and your team serious, you better play with and display high character. Skills are important…. Who you are and how you fit is the first thing they notice..

Actions speak louder than words. He will be taken immediately . All about the dollar and this kid brings it
