Calipari saying Sharpe was a great teammate while he sat and watched his team struggle with injuries is about like saying Ted Bundy was a good guy because he took women out on dates.
No. Skyy Clark did. Realize that isn't what people want to hear as they are upset with Sharpe, his camp, etc...but the reality is that Nick Smith Jr was fine with Cason Wallace and Sharpe committed. If he joined UK it may have effected Chris Livingston's recruitment, but Sharpe/Smith Jr had 0 to do with each other.
Skyy Clark and his family were upset when they heard Kentucky was recruiting Cason Wallace/Nick Smith Jr and about to offer. They went down to Peach Jam and entire Staff was telling Cal to dump Clark and just move on. He felt he would get killed for doing that and they reminded him they advised him to cut ties once they were hired saying they just wanted to do their own evaluations....but Cal didn't pull the trigger.
That's been the story. I've shared it numerous times and it's why I was so adamant about dumping Clark as word behind the scenes was they could land Smith Jr and staff wasn't high on Clark at all. Led to a lot of disagreements, etc...but that's the conflict here, not Sharpe.
Yeah, Sharpe has his own private production crew, who have supposedly been on campus this week. If you are leaving, just go. Say goodbye and go quietly. If you don't play at UK next season, you will never be considered a UK player in my book. Toll in obscurity.... in a bad NBA town.
Has Cal commented on Oscar's return publicly? Know this is a Sharpe thread but find it odd that he's not said anything yet about Oscar coming back for his SR season.
This is how a lot of these guys operate now (not a fan at all of it) but this is what comes with NIL, new era of CFB/CBB recruiting/programs.

Then he pulls out of NBA Draft and then goes to Loserville, Kansas City or the team that used to be Indiana. And UK is penalized immediately.

If Sharpe graduated in May of 2021, why did he enroll in college in January of 2022? Why did he still attend high school in the fall of 2021 if he graduated in May? Is his high school legit academically, and are the school officials honest? Did school officials backdate his graduation record from December of 2021 to May of 2021, so that he would be eligible for the NBA draft in June of 2022? If it is proven that the school did this chicanery, and he is declared ineligible for the NBA draft, will Kentucky officials allow him to come back? Will fans accept this?

It's also worth noting that Calipari releases a statement to the media about Sharpe, who never stepped foot on the court, but doesn't release a statement about Oscar returning. That says everything you need to know about who our coach really is.
