He's a bench player.We are screwed.
You don't even know who/who else we're bringing in. May not be the caliber of Sharpe but we're hardly "screwed" by his defection that everyone, including the coaching staff, saw coming a mile away.

How are the Cal pumpers gonna spin this? I’ll pop some popcorn and wait. Please for the sake of this program let’s never be in this situation again Cal. You got cucked out brother
There is no spin, you take the #1 players and hope he plays like he says, if he doesn't...you took a chance. It's not some big failure by Cal...you'll keep saying it is because it's what you do though. So have fun.

Wait...Cal took a chance but didn't fail? Explain this. If he didn't fail, wouldn't Sharpe be playing?

Oscar comes back on Wednesday
Sharpe gone by Thursday
Reeves commits on Friday

Classic Cal script

Reeves isn't very highly rated as a transfer...do not get me wrong, his stats and measurements sounds good to me, but 24th overall by ESPN and I believe CBS? I think we need another good player.

We really needed to pull in that Miller guy.

This 💯. Not sure how people blame Cal on this. But like you say, many folks on here blame Cal for the weather.

You tell him if he's coming to join the team he's playing, and if he doesn't want to play we'll see you next year. If he leaves over that, so be it.

As KSR is saying now: we would have signed a different high level player for next year if we didn't have him, so it's not a simple matter of all upside, we get him or we don't and nothing was lost. There was a cost to gambling on him and we got burned, it looks like.
