Sounds like his academics were horse poop. Nobody knew a damn thing until the NBA took a closer look now. This is gaining major momentum
So uh asking for a friend could this effect his academic eligibility? More than likely he graduated after a certain nba deadline. Should’ve called hami diallo but probably too smug to do that

Yeah thats probably the case. Kinda funny how everybody speculated and claimed this or that, well, they really didn't know a damn thing. Including the so called "experts"

If he doesn't wanna be on a team at UK next year then find somewhere to go for a bit. We want UK guys and a team of together for all. If Sharpe is willing to give us a honest year I'll be glad to cheer for him. Just want him to want to be here so maybe he becomes a guy we all like instead of one we all thought was giving us the finger. Go Cats!!

Ok, who is insinuating he doesn’t want to be on the team next year? And who said he wasn’t going to give us an “honest year”? Like, where is this coming from bro? If you are basing your “like” or “dislike” of Shaedon on this decision, you need to look in the mirror. With your thinking, he is in a no win situation. If he comes back to UK, you are immediately saying….”Well, he is back because he was forced. He doesn’t really want to be here at UK”. But you have NO CLUE what happened behind the scenes. You have no clue what he really wanted. It’s really unfair to place that label on a kid without knowing anything about the truth.

You can’t blame a kid for exploring all his options. Exploring his options is NOT giving the fan base the middle finger. Period!

I was reading on this yesterday as there was some question as to him being one year remove from school. I think he will be at UK next year.
I reported it after hearing rumors from sources say podcast several days ago.

If he did well at UK this semester he would probably be ok. If he had played and had academic eligibility issues that woulda been nuts huh?

The point was he was obviously cleared to be eligible but missed a deadline but you’d have to have brain cells to interpret that

After yesterday, I ain’t saying squat! Return, great! If not, so what?! Unlike Oscar, the guy clearly doesn’t want to be in college.

To be fair, all we hear is “from a source”. That could all be BS and he legitimately wants to be here. I mean, he did commit and enroll. One can hope, right? We’re only young for so long. Hopefully he is in no rush to grow up.

The CBA isn’t going to rewrite an entire legal document for one dude.
This was my only hope of him coming back, his handler not getting agent status helps too. The CBA also helps veterans not get taken out by new picks as well in cases like this, as they would be almost guaranteed a roster spot. They definitely won’t redo the entire thing for him. An exception would be tough as well because then it would open them up to others who want to do it who may not be top 10 picks and could lead to favoritism claims.

The whole deadline thing was that he needed to be graduated from HS before the start of NBA season.

I don't think this means Sharpe isn't sharp. It just means he may have not been graduated in time which makes sense. Who graduates in September/October?

I think it would be ridiculous if Sharpe were eligible and the Memphis failure was not.

Be real nice if they made this an actual rule that makes sense .. like no years or two minimum if you enroll..
If you are talking Bates, he’s like 17 or just turned 18. Completely different situations. Like, completely cuzzo.

Sure seems like this has some validity.

But, it just always seems like there is an easy loophole when it comes to these types of things. It is curious though that he hasn’t declared yet. Doesn’t really make sense to wait to say you are leaving or testing the waters.

He probably already put in the paper work but didn’t announce it to the public.

Apparently the NBA only rules on eligibility after a player has filed to enter the draft.

If this is true and we end up having Oscar and Sharpe on the team next season, then all I have to say is ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They may not but my main point is sharpe and his people are going to fight it or find any little loophole they can, he is old enough already and people were talking about graduation date saying it could be disputed I don’t know, I hope he is back, will again get roasted if he is
You don’t know crap. Please stop.

"Little match girl" style hopes and dreams roster projection before the fantasy is destroyed by noon today when we find out Sharpe's circle found a loop hole:

G - Wallace - Wheeler
G - Sharpe - Fredrick
G - Reeves - Livingston
F - Toppin - Livingston - Portal transfer
C - Oscar - Collins - Ware

! Unlike Oscar, the guy clearly doesn’t want to be in college.
I’m sure John Wall, Anthony Davis, KAT, Julius Randle and their counterparts at Duke and UNC-Cheats went to college for a year to delve deeply into applied quantum physics. Since when in the OAD era has wanting to be a college student been a factor?

If he’s at Kentucky there is every reason to assume he’ll play his *** off like all the guys I mentioned, out of personal pride and the selfish reason of raising his draft stock.

That dude knows jack ****. Hope for the best but expect the worst. Best way to go about it IMO. It is fun to dream though. Man, Oscar and Shannon Sharpes son breaking fools down. Man.
As Butters would say, don't sleep on Collins
