The way this Final 4 has come down to UNC and KU will MOST DEFINITELY be used by Cal as a means to PROVE we aren't that far off from where this program needs to be. We ALL KNOW how Cal LOVES to spew the BS!!! This will just be another way for him to counter ANY criticism for how he runs our program.

I can hear him now:" You know, both of the teams that made it to the Finals we HAMMERED earlier this season. So all of you Basketball Benny's out there who watched those 2 games 5 times understand that our team was right there with them and if not for a couple of big shots in that first round, by a great St. Peter's team that made it all the way to the Elite 8, it could have been us."

"So I'm going back to work right now to see we get back to the top with the new group next season. They are ALL great kids and I'm sure we won't have one bad practice."
I can literally hear him saying it

Yet here you are defending your hero
Who am I defending? Plenty that Cal can be criticized for. I’m on the side of using actual real things that have actually already happened to criticize him.

My hero? Lol whatever. Call me a defender of objective reality. Does anyone have an acronym for that yet?

Has the last seven years been a downward trend: yes. The degree can be argued but it definitely hasn’t been good. That is an objective fact.

Did Cal lose to a 15 seed in the worst tournament loss in UK history? Yes, that’s an objective fact. We all saw it.

The list goes on. I’m an admitted slurper/pumper/hugger on the nuts of actual reality. Guilty as charged.

Cal will try and spin it some way that makes his failures disappear.
I have blame shifted more than I care to confess. I am not defending anyone, I'm just very knowledgeable of m,y own shortcomings and blind spots.
We'd all be shocked if we had our eyes open to how we're viewed by our friends and family.

The ones he's referring to are the ones excusing all of Cal's faults and calling anyone who criticizes Cal a fake fan.
Okay I get it. Just cause I don't want him fired, yet, doesn't mean I ain't highly critical because my posts show I'm getting sick of his **** more and more. Yeah anyone excusing it is part of the problem.

Cal's easy to coach against. You know exactly what you will get. No offensive plays called; other than the weave which never works. On d switch everything man.

That allows your opponents to concentrate on what they are going to do. No real game plan from Cal to worry about.

Cal's style requires a huge amount of talent. Like #1 and #2 draft picks on same team level talent. And that may never happen again. Sure wont be next year. NIT 2023 here we come.

I am. But since this is a UK site. I post about things regarding CBB and UK.
Sure. But don’t you feel better when thinking ahead about what next years team could be? I mean yes we flopped in the tournament. But you have to admit that 80% of the year you really enjoyed this team and truly thought we could win it all. Who’s to say that can’t be the case next year. If our guards don’t completely drop the ball, we could’ve made a run. I blame our guard play just as much as Cal. Tyty and Grady went to **** at the end. And Mintz was just never even that good.
We’ll have a good squad next year. No doubt

I may get there, but for now and for the forseeable future, Cal as coach kills any excitement or hope for next season regardless of who is on the team.

There are many, many fans, me included who are not as invested or looking forward to next year knowing Cal will be here and nothing will change.

The last 2 years have been as miserable and frustrating since Sutton's last year. Complete failures. Cal is the reason and he is going to be here next year so I don't see anything to be excited about since that is the case.

Hey remember how we all laughed and laughed at IU in 2012 because they bragged to all who would listen that they beat us at home that season? How much fun we made of them because Of the popcorn boxes and that painting?

yeah, good times
My exact point. Can just about guarantee Cal will do the same thing about KU and UNC and it will be as ridiculous as what IU did.

Cal needs to just STFU and not say a damn thing . REAL UK fans are tired of hearing all his pre-rehearsed, re-hashed BS. He's so FOS his eyes are Brown. All the danglers though will eat it up as usual
