I think Cal won't survive another down year. He's got to produce in '23 and it starts with keeping Sharpe/Oscar or Sharpe and a big time replacement upfront. Can't have the roster/team midpack level next year.

And the SEC isn't doing Cal any favors on padding the record. Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee etc are all turning up the heat on Cal. We will drop 2 or more in the pre conference. We finish something like 4th or 5th in the SEC again that means around 10 losses or more and you'll only have a fraction of guys like kyassfan and Tampa cat still clinging to the life raft.

Agreed. That's why I said the end sucked. And we not only beat 2 of the 4 final 4 teams, we destroyed them when we were still at 100%. I hate the way it ended but I guess I'm just not hopeless like most on here.

This is Kentucky. Not winning anything is a down year. Or at least that is how this program was/is/should be viewed from outside. Then the end to season was painful/bad. The one nightmare scenario for Cal/Kentucky this year happened. Losing in 1st Round took all the positives and put them way behind the frustration. Went from thinking things were improved/on right track, to get this guy out of here. IF both Sharpe/Oscar leave it's going to be tough to be a contending team and 3 yrs in a row of that type of result, I hopefully never see because this place is already pretty rough, which I understand.

Okay. There’s not any players left hardly for the 2022 class except the Leonard kid. He is supposed to trim his list to 5 soon, though. Either way, if we don’t bring back Oscar and Sharpe we are toast.

All I know is what my friend told me-which is the staff told him they think he's going to be at Kentucky and he's not as sure as they are of that. Been that way and same answer I can give. Personally I don't know anything of this stuff. I’m not hopeless but it’s just the combination of everything that’s happened in the last few years. It’s going to take some big things happening for me to really feel great about next year. Felt really good all year until the last 4-5 games and the SEC Tournament and NCAA just soured me. I’ve been a big time Cal supporter and given him a long rope but this really shattered my confidence in him.

I agree but to hear these guys on here they've already made their minds up Sharpe was gone in Dec. Why would him leaving change anything now?

What does Cal have to do with anything I was talking about? If you feel the need to go out of your way to support a below average bench coach, whatever. His lack of coaching and strategy is beyond abysmal and indefensible. Anyone outwardly supporting Cal’s coaching are Cal first fans at this point.

I just wish the guy would learn how to actually coach in game and use every tool at his disposal, in order to win. Wish he would stop applying so much emphasis on the NBA and NBA preparation. Who gives a damn what they do or don’t do in the NBA.

He was hired to win games at Kentucky, not to be a pimp for the NBA. This isn’t the University of John Calipari, as bad as some of you wish it was. Especially you, Ellen.

Not a decision that surprised anybody. It is disturbing we are having kids decomitt. The Hickman kid was a 4 year player that will be good before he is gone, as will Clarke neither would have been a lot of help this year but you NEED guys like that to build a TEAM.

It's always cute when we lead for a wing forward and then can't get them in the end. Cal's awesome at mucking up the wing forward recruitments. I'm shocked he managed to get Livingston.
