I'd feel a lot better about all of this if I didn't have to hear it the year before this in regards to our 9-16 season. Who you going to fire on the bench? What top 10 player is out there waiting to sweep in and help take us to the next level. Does Cockburn have another year of eligibility?

These are questions that Cal can't (and won't) answer because he couldn't answer them last year either. He had the most fun team he's had in 4 years (in regards to play and personality) and turned them into Ole Miss.

Shame on you Cal.

*Capital One Venture X card. Anyone here have it? Review would be nice.

*Heavily leaning toward canceling my San Diego trip and replacing with Rome/Amalfi Coast. I mean, you only live once and the kids would absolutely love it. Plus, I need something to look forward to since those ASSCATS ate ****.

*Those that's been on that side of the pond...TA or piece together what looks good myself? Pretty overwhelming in the early planning phase.

I’m not sure Cal is capable of feeling shame or embarrassment about his team’s performance. If that’s true, it’s all hopeless. If it’s not, it’s about time he start getting mad about losing again.
Pretty much the definition of a coach that is fat and happy with a loaded bank account and has lost his fire. He got his ring with the added membership in the HOF.
We need another coach with the burning desire to get his….

Sounds like we have a bunch of Kellen Gradys in here. Once things get tough, you fold quicker than a piece of paper in the hands of the Japanese. Everyone is pissed but if you can't find reasons for optimism heading into next year and beyond, then I truly feel sorry for you.

Who’s the last top 3 pick we had? That big baby Karl?

We all know what it takes to overcome Cal’s ****, and it’s more than just a top 3 pick.

Oh, give me a f*cking break...

Cal is (and always has been) stubborn and arrogant, but most of all, vain. This loss is devastating to him. It tarnishes his image, reputation, and legacy.

He has two options. Hit rock bottom and keep digging, or change his ways. I'll at least recognize that he changed to start the season following last year's debacle. But then immediately reverted at the first sign of adversity...

Cal broke this team with his insistence on pounding the ball into the post and driving into the basket every possession. That is why even very good shooters have lost their touch under him.

On the basket in Vegas where Monk hit the last 3 against NC, Cal was yelling "DRIVE" but thankfully Monk said screw it and shot anyway.

I must be a ****** fan because I don't have sky high exuberance like Vern and see no reason to believe Cal will/can change his ways. I will always cheer for the Cats, but as long as Cal remains here I will not have the same expectations again until we make a deep run in March.

Disappointment is the result of too high of expectations.

He promised though, and we've already been through so much together.

Cal should have parked Brooks in the corner 3 spot and explained to him that his only chance at being an NBA player is to focus on defense and shoot the corner 3 at a 40% clip. That midrange post-up Kobe wannabe BS doesn't work against midmajors and the NBA moved away from it a decade ago (unless you are Kawhi Leonard).

And while I like his game better, Toppin should be in the gym right now doing just that.

I don't have **** else to say about our jerkoff basketball program other than TyTy can apparently get injured and have his production go to pure human dog **** levels all February and March and still be good to go for the Draft but Sharpe is so good he couldn't be seen in a jersey or else RISK IT ALL.

K.

Kentucky fans will just continue to be **** on and taken advantage of for perpetuity and we'll deserve it. By the Administration. By Barnhart. By Cal. By jerkoff players like Sharpe. By its fanboy media.

More, if you're giving them money for NIL then you're a ******** fool, too. Give it to your employees who have kids to clothe and feed for Christ's sake, not these 18 year old asshats who apparently need a Porsche parked at the Lodge to justify being a part of Kentucky's once-proud basketball program.

But let's all enjoy watching 16 other programs play hard-nosed and intelligent college basketball this weekend. Not a one of them with the same budget as Kentucky's, but certainly all without the same ******** issues manufactured by its own $9M head coach.

A few days of lip service and halfhearted apologies for a week every March is all we can expect in this elaborate con.

The Kentucky Basketball fan's a sucker.

So... 2021 Baylor had picks 9 and 40 in the draft
2019 Virginia - 4, 24, 54, 55
2018 Villanova - 10, 17, 30, 33
2017 UNC - 15, 28
2016 Villanova - None
2015 Duke - 3, 10, 24
2014 UConn - 24, 37
2013 Vacated - 21, 56
2012 UK as noted - 1, 2, 18, 29, 42, 46

Not sure what all of that tells us. There's much more to it than simply draft projections despite what we're fed. However, five of these (and the last 3) had at least one top-10 pick playing for them. As is well documented, our best chance means we need ALL of the best players or as many as possible.

All of the talk about no inbounds plays, no offense in general, no defense other than M2M and no willingness to change any of that is more than well placed, but the one thing that has probably forever scarred me about our coach and the sport in general is the fact that we somehow had our best prospect (see above and top 10 most likely in warmups all season without any legitimate explanation. Lloyd's of London could have insured him against future injury and loss of income and if there were other factors at play, at least a hint of those might have made this more palatable.

...but we're back on the recruiting trail! Like Ishtar, the end product is doomed to fail without solid direction, no matter how great the cast.
