Pearl will NEVER coach at UK. Take that to the bank.
Drew wouldn't have to rebuild Kentucky. Plus, Baylor ain't UK.
Exactly! It's a much less stressfull and pressure filled job. They were fine giving him 17 years to build a program. He would get maybe 2 or 3 here.

Pretty obvious you have no concept of what it means to be a Alpha. Drew would jump at the chance to come to UK.
But, you can stick with Calipari if you like.

WTF is ALPHA about Scott Drew? 🤣
I don’t want Cal, I want a solid coach that isn't going to take 2 decades to build a program. But you go ahead with those strawmans if that helps.

You're the one equating Baylor to the Kentucky job. You don't think it would be easier to be successful at UK than Baylor? He wouldn't have to build a program here. All the tools are in place. It's a lot easier to get top talent to Lex. than it is to Waco.
Drew is and should be the top candidate if the UK job comes open.

No, it doesn't just magically get easier here when the pressure is much greater and the results have to be almost immediate.

Of course he is going to have to build a program here. Literally everyone will leave with the transfer rules. He is going to have to rely on building a team out of tranfers his first year, and then recruiting his style of players. It will take time. Scott Drew has been at Baylor since 03 and just got them good the last couple of years. There is nothing that indicates he is going to step into a job like UK and he immediately successful.

There are better options.we could get.

The name "Kentucky" means something. It has a significant value that the name Baylor does not. If you think it would take 17 years to build UK to the point of challenging for a national championship, you're clueless.
There may be other options but, Drew should be at the very top of the list.

It used to. Most people in today's generations don't give a **** about UK's history. It's all about the "what have you done for me lately" approach.

But what are you basing your assessments off of? There is nothing in his past that suggest he can do it quickly.

If there are other option, Drew probably shouldn't be at the top. He's just not a good choice for UK.

BS. Not these days. Kids couldnt care less about the name on the jersey. What they care about is how quick you can get me to the nba and that’s exactly why you dont fire cal, because hes one of the best at that

I'm not talking about UK's history. I'm talking about eyes on TV's when UK plays now. I'm talking about why UK gets the prime broadcast spots. I'm talking about the massive fanbase and the fact the program moves the needle in ways maybe only 2-3 other programs do.
Calipari isn't half the coach that Drew is and quite possibly not even a better recruiter. Give Drew all the tools that Calipari has and the results have to be at least as good. Most likely they'll be much better.
It's OK to have a list and I'm sure Barnhart has one. But, Drew needs to be at the very top.

All kidding aside...I am starting to think Cal truly doesn't GAF and is just doing what he can to piss off the UK fans as long as Barney and the boosters let him. He is rich AF and has nothing to lose at this point. He is operating like a Russian Putin at this point. No restrictions....no guardrails......and unlimited power. Basketball sociopath.

********! You think only Calipari can get kids to the NBA?
It's 2022, if you can play the NBA will find you. There's a reason not every player in the NBA played at UK.

So Drew is going to be successful because UK plays on TV a lot? 🤔

Pretty sure Cal has a winning record against Drew. Not sure that is the best argument for being better than Cal. And not sure where you logically conclude he has to be as good or better at UK than Cal.

We should definitely have a list, but Drew shouldn't be anywhere near the top. Maybe top.of the 2nd or 3rd tier, but not the top tier.

Yeah I knew that he didn't GAF about the fans when I went to his book signing.

Wow. If you can't see that Drew has an incredible talent for forming a cohesive unit from a group of guys with inferior talent (compared to what Calipari gets at UK) then, nothing I say is going to convince you. Apparently, you have some kind of personal hatred for Drew. The dude can flat out coach.
Oh, and BTW Calipari is 1-2 versus Drew at UK.

So, he is that much better than Cal but has less final fours and the same number of championships? 🤔

With a LOT less talent. 👍
They haven't exactly been talent deprived themselves. They've had over 30 4* and 5* players during the last decade or so. They still only have the 1 championship and F4 and no conference tournament championships. Scott Drew has only been to the Sw16 5 times at Baylor. He made is past it 3 times. That's not exactly a solid resume. While I admit Cal has underachived with his talent, so has Baylor and Drew to be honest.

Still far inferior to what Calipari has had to work with. Considering Baylor's program was on par with Vandy before Drew got there, I'd say he has overachieved.
But, it's pretty obvious you've got a personal vendetta against Drew or are just a troll. Either way, I'm done engaging with you.
