Scott Stricklin- "Oh, three awesome words about this year's @belkbowl that you need to know ...

Carrie. Underwood. Performing. #HailState"

Here's a few words for you, loaferz: It is high time for accountability to be brought to bear on a head coach who consistentiy gets his *** handed to him in recruiting, which translates into getting his *** handed to him in November. Stop trying to pump rainbows n **** into a fan base that is rapidly getting tired of the November meltdown. It starts with the 16 class, Stricklin. He needs to know that he's accountable to sign a top 15 class. If he doesn't, and you do nothing, then we will know that mullen is not the only problem.

I personally don't know him, but when I heard that he was reading Renardo Sidney bible verses in his office after the fighting fiasco...I was confused.

So you're thinking that enough pressure to "win" by the AD will cause this bull-headed, cocky and (relatively speaking) successful coach to finally see the light, realize how he's been going about things all wrong, and that Stricklin's threats will finally get through his thick head what it takes to recruit successfully at Mississippi State? (Which is pretty simply to turn your head and STFU?)

You really think Dan will change his core beliefs in himself and his system, because Scott says "you better win/recruit or else"?

I'm going to guess no, I don't see it. It will more likely result in Dan leaving for another job and us starting over, but I do sincerely hope you are right.

I don't expect Mullen to change his beliefs. I expect him to get the 17 out of the way. And I expect our AD to make it plain that he is to stay out of the way until called upon for the photo op.

I agree, and there's more to it.

I don't expect Mullen to change his beliefs. I expect him to get the 17 out of the way. And I expect our AD to make it plain that he is to stay out of the way until called upon for the photo op.

Mullen also would need to take certain of his staff on vacation with him during recruiting season.

Some staff members "get it" when it comes to recruiting; some don't. You can probably guess which ones are which.

Of course, my opinion is this is all a moot discussion, because Dan ain't changing.

Not much of a Stricklin guy but I do think Mullen should be our coach for a long time. He knows what people are saying. He knows about recruiting pressure. He is very aware. Does anyone think he likes losing? This is a guy everyone was loving 5 weeks last year and most were loving him the 5 or so years before that. Fickle is the word.

I am for Dan also. I want him to adapt though. Address the glaring issues we all see.
I do agree with the fickle ways of fans too. The absurd amount of money these coaches are paid leaves them open to a lot of criticism.

I would think there is an expectation by everyone involved for both AD's to promote events before, during, and after the bowl they're attending. There's a lot of legitimate stuff to ***** about without having to find dumb ****.
