I have:

Gonzaga
Kentucky
Arizona
Kansas

Would not surprise me if 2 or 3 did not make it. All have flaws and some potential interesting matchups.
I really want us in there. And I think we can do it. Need to see us lay a smack down on St Peters first. And then handle more than likely Murray.

But UT (they beat Zona and weren’t playing as well as they are now)
Kansas
Kentucky

Gonzaga
Purdue ( month ago this would have been UK without a doubt.)
Houston ( this regions a crapshoot)
Kansas

Gonzaga cuts the nets

I’m not saying it’s what I want to see. It’s based on what I think will happen. I don’t like the matchup against Purdue. They have the size to neutralize our biggest weapon. I certainly think we can beat them, but it’ll be tough.
They are only one of 3 high-major teams ever to make the NCAAT with such a bad defensive efficiency score. I think they are 100th and only two teams have ever made it with that bad of a defense - TCU (2018) and Temple (2013).

It will take a very good defensive team to beat UK. We are top 10 defense, so it's not like a matchup against Purdue will be a shootout.

EDITED to correct "high major" vs. "teams ever".

Still, no team has ever done that well with such crappy defense. Not worried, and neither should anyone else (aw hell, what am I saying...there are UK fans worried about St. Peter's for f*k sake).

UK v UT

UK

UK may have to play Oscar and Ware and 3 guards at times together to combat UTs size.

I'm the same as heroes heroes except for Auburn beating KU. I may change some things around.

Purdue is a very good offensive team. They have size and can shoot. They also have one of the most dynamic players in the country. I hope they get upset.

Kentucky actually plays defense and will be the best defense Purdue has seen all year.

We also have the NPOY in Oscar, and a lottery pick in Washington.

Are you a closet Purdue fan?

LOL. There’s always one. So, in your mind, if I pick a team to win that makes me a fan of that team? That’s so juvenile. Be better.

Jolly green giant only plays 19 minutes. Let's see if Purdue even makes it as Texas or VA tech won't be easy.

Gonzaga
Kansas
Arizona
Uk

Easy for me to pick chalk and my home pick. It's safe to pick the 1s usually. Texas Tech or Arkansas or Duke can win west and nova or tn in South but top half of bracket is joke for Arizona to elite 8 and Kansas I just feel is due but auburn is capable I suppose. Uk could lose 2nd round or make final four. I have a ucla vs uk vibe n my mind.

Baylor and Nova have some injuries. KU won't make the FF.

Clearly you're new here.

I'm not an ***, and I'm far from juvenile. I'm just pointing out the glaring issues I think you have with your analysis and concern. UK has problems with really good defensive teams. Purdue is not even in the ballpark with any team that has given us issues.

Whatever makes you happy. You’re like far too many on here. Have a different opinion and you’re not a fan. Yes, that’s juvenile and narrow minded.

I mean Arz has a walk to the FF unless you put a lot of faith in TCU or 1 quad 1 win HOU. If you have filled a bracket out it's hard to find a way for KU or Arz not making it.

Haha, what? This is total nonsense. Might want to check your sources. Took me all of 2 seconds to see their are multiple at large teams THIS year with worse d efficiency numbers.

You might want to check your sources or stop pulling numbers out of your ***. You’re wrong on everything posted here.

I just read an entire article analyzing the teams on ESPN - that's where I got that info. Can't find it now, but it was there.

Did you go find it yourself, or are you going off that other guy's response?

Search ESPN. It was there and I'm just not able to find what I read since they shift headlines around every 15 minutes.

Ok, there's a part I missed - "only two high major teams since 2002 that finished the season ranked 100th in adjusted defensive efficiency even made the NCAA tournament..."

3-seeds

Purdue Boilermakers

Jaden Ivey (17.3 PPG, 36.8% from 3 entering Sunday) is one of the quickest players in college basketball, which is why so many NBA scouts and execs love the potential of projected No. 5 NBA draft pick. He can get to the rim whenever he wants and he's an ace at drawing fouls. He has made 50% of his shots in isolation matchups, per Synergy Sports data. He and Zach Edey (14.6 PPG, 7.6 RPG, 1.3 BPG), a 7-4 star who might be the most difficult matchup in the sport, anchor a team that averaged 80.7 PPG in the regular season, seventh in the country.

But last week, the Boilermakers were 100th in adjusted defensive efficiency. Two things are true with teams hovering around that tier: They don't win national titles and the potential for postseason disappointment is high. Only two high-major teams since 2002 that finished the season ranked 100th adjusted defensive efficiency even made the NCAA tournament -- Temple in 2013 and TCU in 2018. Neither made the second weekend and both were, like Purdue, in the top-30 in adjusted offensive efficiency. Still, the Boilermakers beat Villanova and North Carolina and swept both Illinois and Iowa. This is a good team with NBA talent whose defensive issues should be concerning.

Purdue - Nothing to Worry About

I’d love to believe that Purdue is a BIg10 paper tiger. But they do have size and shooting. I’ll feel better if Kentucky plays like Kentucky in Rounds 1-2.
