Did you reply to yourself to add on to the previous comment or on accident?Living in Nashville and having friends at both Brentwood Academy and Ensworth you are spot on. Dad is not who you want around your program. Honestly the kid peaked his freshman year and has gone backwards ever since
No idea, he never really jumped out to me As an elite player and rumor was he was a handful behind the scenes. His injury only set him further back. I’ve only seen him a couple times but wasn’t that impressed considering who our PG’s usually are.I think he ends up at Illinois. Assistant Coach Tim Anderson was his lead recruiter at Depaul when he committed to them. He is now an assistant at Illinois.
Full Disclosure: I'm an Illini fan looking for info about Clark and just seeing what you guys think of him as a player and I'm not here to troll. I simply enjoy recruiting gossip.
Livingston IS a 3.True but Toppin will probably be here as well, might be a logjam at the 4 unless Cal sees Livingston as a 3
You do realize that mis predicting players’ potentials has nothing to do with recruiting info. What's your point?
I never said anything about how fast he was in the other post
You are still the biggest clown on here. I could go back and get all of your posts about wheeler and Oscar not making it for us but do I? You thought wheeler would be a dud. I also said Oscar would be sec player of the year in March last year and you laughed at that aswell
LOL! A UK fan would NEVER get visibly agitated by other UK fans proclaiming that UK, not Duke, was the biggest draw in CBB. NEVER. Yet you, supposedly a UK fan, just did! They are the biggest draw get the hell over it. They are a national brand, good lord. Like ND in football. Doesn't mean I like ND. They will never have the most history then us. Or a better fan base, they can't never get to 8 titles. But they are the biggest name to most people overall in American.
Traditionally he would be a 3, and I think he'll end up being a 3. But as a freshman I think I would much prefer him as a 4. I'm concerned that he doesn't shoot it well enough yet for my taste as a 3 (give me another Grady at the 3). And he has the size and build to play PF in college (roughly the same as Brooks and Hopkins), at least until the perimeter shot becomes a more consistent weapon. But that's just my bias. If Livingston or Hopkins as a freshman were playing the 3, however, I think it would be really important that the PG and 2G were good perimeter shooters.Livingston IS a 3.
If Hopkins transfers, we'll have plenty of people here saying it's fine because Livingston is coming in. Some people never learn. We 100% would be better off with a sophomore Hopkins and Livingston playing behind him.
Agree. And I won't be surprised to see Hopkins and/or Livingston play mostly 3, if they earn PT.But Hopkins wouldn’t be leaving because of incoming freshman Livingston. He would be leaving because of returning Toppin, Brooks, Collins, AND Livingston. That would be like 5 forwards. We’re very crowded at that position.

Although as pointed out above, to play a more traditional 3 then we need a good shooter at the PG. Thus if Wheeler returns, it would be hard to play a traditional 3 (unless he can also shoot, i.e. Prince or Miller) when Wheeler is on the floor.
Assuming Cal does not go back to the platoon (would love if we had the roster that forced Cal to do that again because it did work so well), then we know Cal max's out at playing about 8 guys. We can't count them yet, way to many unknowns on who will be here, but unless we lose say 2 of those 4 forwards who could return, it may be hard for Livingston to play significant (>10mpg) minutes next year.

I got the impression that the Clark situation had been coming on for a while. But if what you're saying is correct then I pray you're also correct that Wheeler will be back. No way I want a reclassified kid starting at PG.Any correlation with the fact that Cal went to visit Wagner and a couple of days later Clark decommits? Did Cal learn Wagner is going to reclassify and along with Wheeler coming back would be a log jam at PG?

I'm not sure that Murray (Canadian system, so he was a year older, right?) would have been great at PG that season. But you might be right that he would have been ok. A freshman Hagans is not what I want as a starting PG.Ashton Hagans was a re-class for his freshman year. As was Murray, who would've been fine at PG.
I think Hagans just reclassified to his right class though .Ashton Hagans was a re-class for his freshman year. As was Murray, who would've been fine at PG.
He was also 19, almost 20 years old. Even as a reclass. He was old for a freshman.Ashton Hagans was a re-class for his freshman year. As was Murray, who would've been fine at PG.
Did you just quote yourself? Forget to log out lol?Living in Nashville and having friends at both Brentwood Academy and Ensworth you are spot on. Dad is not who you want around your program. Honestly the kid peaked his freshman year and has gone backwards ever since
For a team like us, well worth the risk. We arent Kentucky and cant pick and choose. If it doesnt work out, he'll find somewhere else to play the year after. Such is life now in the NCAA.No idea, he never really jumped out to me As an elite player and rumor was he was a handful behind the scenes. His injury only set him further back. The hell it is.Upsetting his players...that's all. That is his family.
It is also none of our business.
The hell it is.
I literally asked that a day or 2 ago.Did you just quote yourself? Forget to log out lol?

People think he’s a 3 because he is 6’6. Some people can’t stand the thought of a 4 that is under 6’8.After watching Hopkins this year I have no idea what makes people think he’s a 3. He’s large, doesn’t dribble well, isn’t a great outside shooter, and isn’t particularly quick. How is that a 3?? Toppin is faster and quicker and shoots just as well. We need a Grady or Frederick at 3 with Wheeler and Wallace at the 1 or 2. That’s just better bball. Hopkins at the 3 is like bball from 1995
