4 coming in including a 6 4 center from Texas. Looks like 3 seniors will probably come back- Benton, Massengill, and Green. I would expect a couple portal transfers.
They got a 5”6 guard from MO ,5’10 girl from Anderson County , and 5’6 guard from pike county so far

Yeah because cal has so much to learn from her. Give me a break.
You obviously didn't watch the UT game. With the game on the line she switched to a zone defense that completely stymied the Vols. Forced UT coach to use her TO to adjust her offense.

Out of the TO, she went right back to man defense and completely messed up UT's offense again. Gave us just enough opportunity to get control of tempo and score. Ran some beautiful plays to get Rhyne Howard open looks at the 3 point line. She got open shots on out of bounds plays. Screened for her shooters.

I could go on and on about coaching moves she made that Cal...........I'll let you finish that statement.

We will see how her career plays out. Not long ago people said she was a terrible hire and needed to be canned.

You must not watch womens basketball. You could switch to a nothing defense and half the time it would be effective.

Edwards no fear mentality to me is like a wild untamed animal (no disrespect intended) let out of a cage right at tip off. All over the court scoring from everywhere and running up and down for a player that size impressive to watch. That interview after the game with her was really fun to watch. The way she started holloring walking away, couldn't help but LOL.

You are correct. It is obvious she had several discipline problems she inherited from the previous coach or from some of the new players who transferred into the program.

To her credit, she seems to have taken the right steps to right the ship and get her players playing for the team.

I hope she ends up being the greatest coach in the history of UK women's basketball, just like the legacy her mentor left at UT.

Time will tell but she coached the heck out of that team this week. Glad she is a Wildcat.

Let's talk about her coaching.

She was amazing making adjustments in the SEC tournament, especially against UT. Heck of a bench coach.

I hope Cal was paying attention today.
One could argue Elzy has been paying attention to Cal, he’s the one with a ring and a spot in the HOF.

Either way, feel much better about our ladies program after this run. Remarkable job.

Let’s be honest, before this run she was a terrible hire. The team was a complete disappointment last season and the first 3/4 of this year. She’s pulled the team together and obviously doing well now. Let’s hope she can build on this momentum.

Well, Elzy has two rings if I’m not mistaken.

Pretty sure she doesn't need Cal's help to coach her team. I'm sure she appreciate's his support and it was a good look for Cal to be there today supporting her and the Lady Cats.

SEC Champs!!!!

Hopefully this run and publicity can help them start landing some quality bigs. Going to be hard to replace Howard, but they still should have some good pieces next year.

Come on. Please explain to me how our HOF coach can’t coach? What an idiotic post.

You missed the point of my post, but ok.

So, there is absolutely no need to make any of those adjustments in a men's game. Got it.
Bro you’re actually trying to say that our HOF mens coach that has one of the highest winning percentages ever should learn from our 7 seed SEC tourney womens team. Get lost.

Who said Cal can't coach? Why do you make crap up?

My remark was about Cal paying attention to Kyra WINNING the SEC tournament and making the in game adjustments to help her team win the championship.

Cal doesn't give a crap about winning the SEC championship and I actually get his viewpoint on that.

But some of us fans ENJOY beating UT, beating the #1 team in the nation, beating the #6 team in the nation, winning 4 tough games in 4 days, and we really enjoy being called SEC Champs.

Kyra and the Lady Cats took care of business this week and I am proud of them.

Shouldn't you be in Nashville looking for Cal's lost watch? Have a good night. Go Big Blue.

...already knew about. There I finished it for you. Cals been coaching for 40 years you gotta be kidding me. I agree Kyra made some good decisions. She’s not a wizard though.

You got to be one of those that think Grady needs someone to tell him to move. Which by the way Cal already does. And sometimes Grady still doesn’t.

Yes. The recruiting (including portal) last year was atrocious. Incoming HS players not good. She’s earned a little leash this weekend but if she wants to be successful here, she’s going to need to hit the portal hard this off season. Will he lucky to have a winning record the next few seasons without it. Just not much in the way of numbers and talent left after this season.

A simple screen will free up a shooter most of the time. Running around and around the floor from one side to the other expecting to get open is the stupidest thing I have ever seen from a HOF coach. And running that 3 man weave outside the 3 point line until there is 5 seconds left on the shot clock is brilliant.

The NCAA tournament will be won by teams who can execute a half court offense and play lock down defense.

I'm concerned about this teams ability to do either of those two things against top competition.

Lol. Keep talking. Your defense of Cal is admirable. And please stop with the "Cal haters" bs.

I DO NOT HATE JOHN CALIPARI.

However, I do not like his putrid half court offense. If you love Cal, that's ok. Just stop the projection on others that have a different opinion than you do, that somehow makes them a hater.

Cal doesn't give a crap what either one of us think about his coaching and you shouldn't either.

Cal who does not care about winning the SEC tournament has still won it more than the UK women have in their entire program history.

WTF does Cal have to "pay attention" to a coach who prior to the Tourney was headed to the hot seat?

Big win for the women, proud of em but PIPE DOWN.
