Lol at Bernie trying to forward his sinister lefty mission in the good pages of GYERO. Devil be gone, you backwards sonofabitch. Take your sorcery elsewhere.
Over the years I have been secretly working in my left-handed agenda. A small comment here and there trying to infuse the superiority of left handedness into the subconscious of unsuspecting right handed people.

I fear I may have pressed too much this week and now the jig is up and gone...

I have a family member who played in in the Major League. He said Tony Gwynn was the best hitter he has seen. Said Pete Rose benefitted greatly from the astroturf at Riverfront that allowed many of his hard hit bouncers to get him on base.
Pete ended his career with 2123 hits at home and 2133 hits on the road, so it may have been a little more than the astroturf at Riverfront.

You can bet on it.

Dem dogs are goooooood.

-Betting the house on Kevin Mitchell in my baseball card game was a misstep. Man, I loved that dude.

-Speaking of Lefty, that dude is getting CRUSHED. Lol.

-Market is drunk this year.

-Isn't 80 a big Duke fan? I'm sure he has loads of floopy honks he grew up loving.

-I'm sure Cal has the NIL stuff on lock but the football folks I've talked are really on it as well. I think we're sitting pretty.

-So in the NBA a 2 way deal pays b/w 80k-400k. The league minimum is 900k, It sounds like Oscar can make at least double if not substantially more than that by simply coming back. Not all the kids are going to rake like Oscar but I'm assuming Cal is going to have them doing pretty damn well. This is just such a game changer for us. I'm sure we'll have a fair amount of boneheaded decisions but we should be over the players being more incentivized to play in Europe and DLeague. Then, we're the obvious transfer portal landing spot.

-Schools or NCAA need to take the next step, like leagues, to accredit legitimate firms or agents. Seems like we're kinda already doing that but formalize it.

-Wisconsin somehow came out of that mess looking like the biggest douche bags, and it's not even close. Those statements are pompous douchbaggery. Not sure why I'm surprised by that.

Brady what’s the story on how these NIL deals work with the players? Do each of them have agents, are they using handlers, doing it themselves?

Seems like a GYERO Law NIL Agency could squeeze into the market here. Funneling cash to our guys while giving the middle finger to the NCAA sounds like a rewarding position to be in.
Let's be honest. The Gyero lawyers have a ****** work ethic and spend way too much of their time posting on here.

There are a lot of people out there who no longer believe lefties are evil. Guess I’m just a throwback to the middle ages.

As the best power hitter in GyerOlympics history (more HRs than all of the other competitors combined), I approve of Bernie's sweet stroke. Kite winder or not, the dude could rake.

-settle down there were only 2 of us that went yard iirc, I had one,and had 2 hit the fence...you had 2(one of which was obviously wind aided).

-I want a rematch.

$925 year 1
$1.4 year 2
$1.6 year 3

That is the 3 yr deal now. Throw in endorsements, and the NBA crushes anything he gets at UK, at least legally. And given Oscar's personality, he will get endorsements. It's a no brainer.

Couldn't agree more. I read the statement from their AD and found myself hoping every B1G team close fist punches their entire coaching staff during the conference tournament.

Well his agent said multimillion yesterday. I know your IQ is just this side of a cantaloupe but "multi" means more than 1.

Again, that's assuming he gets a deal and as a 2nd round pick, which is certainly an IF considering the way he's struggled with length, plus he has a ways to go offensively,

To close out, because you're a mouth breathing dolt, the point was they don't HAVE to take a chance on making somewhere b/w 80k-900k next year because odds are they can make that much in Lexington. Especially Oscar.

I'm curious when some large corporations are going to start getting in on this stuff. Regional and local businesses are great, but with a program like UK, you'd think there'd be someone out there crunching numbers on our TV ratings versus individual NBA game ratings, and getting some big boys involved. A local Porsche dealership is cool and all, but when are some of the elite college guys going to start getting one or two-year shoe deals and **** like that.

Throw a guy like Oscar in a Nike or McDonald's commercial around March. Seems it would get these big companies in the door for future endorsements, and destroy second-round money.

* Lotta people making the huge mistake of somehow ignoring the fact that guys can also earn NIL money in the NBA and other professional leagues, too.

So it will be interesting to see how this truly shakes out in reality, as opposed to being discussed on a college message board. A couple things work in our favor for a select few players.....

- a college superstar should earn more than a pro benchwarmer
- if nothing else, the difference in the amount of $$$ you can earn from college to pro just moved much closer. I mean, one year ago college players were earning ZERO. So there's that.

I think Oscar is absolutely one of those guys. He really should earn much more NIL money as a National POY/potential NCAA Champ/all-time legend at UK than he would playing 9 minutes/game for the Grizzlies.

* Did we ever figure out who that disgusting, chubby chasing, BBW-loving dipshit Minnesota Viking was that was knocking the bottom out of Lizzo? Ugh.

* RIP the O'Charley's building on Nicholasville Road the corner of Good Food & Good Times. Spent 5 great years there in college. What a place, man. I'd give anything for just one more happy hour there. $1 beers, 50% off wings (heavily breaded on a bed of nachos). Yucking it up with all the regular neighborhood drunks, of which there were many.

Maybe if I was lucky I could even stick around playing Golden Tee, crushing draft beers, and pumping quarters into the jukebox till 5am. Just for old time's sake.

* I don't think we needed an updated version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but I guess we got one. Prolly watch that on Netflix today. Sit in a public area and turn the volume on my tablet up.

* Went to Vegas over the weekend and finished the Jackpot 100. The owner/race director is a former casino executive who doesn't appear to be hurting for money, so he's poured a ton into the event. This was the USA Track & Field national championship, so it had a pretty stout field of runners, and the OVERALL winner was a woman.....who broke her own 100-mile world record.

Ran about a 7:30 pace for 12 hours and 41 minutes. That's good.

* I just wish we would have gotten to see more from Liam Coen. Like 2-3 years. A couple reasons....

- 1 year in Blue isn't really enough to see what this guy is all about. I was looking forward to seeing his growth.
- Petty, but the "Coaching Tree" is a very real thing, and Sean McVay is going to get all the credit for his success. If he continues to flourish, it's gonna suck knowing that his time in UK isn't the first thing in most people's mind. Missed opportunity for a little extra marketing push.

* Have never, will never give a flying F about Ukraine. Stay home, stay lives.

* Juwan Howard won't be fired, but will be suspended the rest of the season. I'm very comfortable with that.

* I'm a huge fan of Jedidiah Jenkins. His Insta, his writing. He's awesome. Look him up.

I don’t think the former catcher with whom I was speaking was dissing Rose, just saying Gwynn was the better hitter. The fact that Rose was in the discussion tells you that.

I don't know but I'm guessing 2-way/2nd round picks aren't exactly raking endorsements. Unless they have guaranteed money, which a few 2nd rounders will, but for UK players in the position it will most likely make sense to return.

Imagine Tyler Ulis... he would've raked.

*F*ck Russia

*The other day I'm in court in Henderson, I come out, and an ambulance had hit my car. Get it fixed, taking my daughter home from dance this past Wednesday, and I smoked a coyote. Bastard was chasing something, running full steam ahead. Had zero chance to avoid him. Caused more damage than the GD ambulance.

*Apparently we've got bobcats in our neighborhood. My FIL saw one outside our house the other night, and then a neighbor had a pretty close encounter with one. He said he heard a noise outside his backdoor, went a looked, and the son of a ***** jumped into the door and then ran off.

I didn't participate in the year 2 farce.

I was there in year 1 and I hit 3 and PTI hit 1 and nobody else hit any.

-nor did i.

-your commemorative poster means bubkis, bub. I assume my omission/your "forgetfulness" was somewhat fueled by your anger at me limp-sprinting past you in the 1/2 mile race to finish 3rd from last. It's hurtful, tbh.

-obligatory reminder that I was faster than everyone not named Adrian...at 246 lbs and hungover.

This is how my day is going. Below is an actual email I had to send out this morning.

Team,

During your start up meetings, please explain (once again) the proper way to use the restrooms!

  1. When using the restroom, only use toilet paper. Paper towels should ONLY be used to dry their hands.
  2. Do not fill toilets with toilet paper before trying to flush. Multiple flushes are acceptable, if not preferred
  3. All used toilet paper is to be put in the toilet and NOT on the floor
Failure to follow these simple rules will lead to immediate corrective actions up/to including termination.

This is being done by Cubans that haven't been in the country very long. Apparently, due to most of them not being used to flushing toilets, they place their **** paper on the floor.
