The Vescovi, Chandler, Zeigler combo (all on the floor at the same time during critical stretches) is pretty lethal. All point guards, all can distribute and handle, all can shoot.

I really did not like Grant Williams, he should have played at duke. That way I could have hated them both at the same time His flopping *** would have fit right in with duke
Cal teams have historically struggled with small guards... Devan Downey. Jared Harper (AU EE game). This ZZ kid. I mean it fits a pattern.
IMO UT played about as well as they can including him and somehow we still outscored them by 1 in the second half... as poorly as we played - played very flat. Oscar got no help from Brooks - Wheeler looked lost and panicked more often than not... Grady off... TyTy got hurt... I mean it just was not what we were ready for. Only credit I give Volthugs is they ramped up defense and hit more shots than usual - but missed about 5-6 bunnies.

The thing that impressed me was their ability to get to the rim. It was full blown ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK from them.
Last night we gave up 1.11 points per possession vs them. Heck even at Rupp, we gave up 1.08.
In the two games we've played vs them, our defense has massively struggled.

Guys, considering the Tennessee players to be "thugs" is a YOU thing. No other fan base says that. No one even thinks that. Not sure how you look at a roster of foreign athletes, 5 star private school kids, and one tough, self-made Staten Island kid and call them thugs. Maybe you just don't like the harrasive, defensive effort they give. And Rick Barnes? He's a 65 year-old God fearing nice dude. You don't like that a UT assistant gets animated on the bench? I think your perspective is a bit in need of a re-evaluation.
That is debatable because the Tennessee Ziegler seemed to really motivate the UK bench to stomp him into the ground.
I don't know about the thug thing, but no one in the SEC respects UT. And it goes back a lot of years.
Thugs = behavior - any thoughts beyond that is a YOU thing.
I dare say you know little to nothing about Rick Barnes beyond his public persona and remarks.
After watching UT in person vs Vandy in Nashville I fully stand behind the remarks and observations. Two of the worst that night were Plavsic and Vescovi.

To be fair, Chandler and Vescovi was hardly guarded the first half when they done almost all their damage, for whatever reason, that is on our guards just not playing.
