Cal's teams have gone on horrid scoring droughts for years now. That's what scares me the most in March is one of these unexplainable 8+ minute droughts and Cal's complete inability to run a play to get an easy bucket. I don't understand it but it seems we are the only top team in the country that has 1) 5+ minute droughts seemingly every other game and 2) absolutely no idea how to run a play to stop a drought.

He has zero fouls and has been playing like **** several games in a row. Whether it has something to do with the injury or not, this team will not go very far as long as he keeps playing the way he’s been playing of late.
He played well against Florida, Bama, and South Carolina. Literally our last 3 games. But gotcha.

Other teams run an offense to get shooters open looks, score on inbounds plays, switch defenses.
We look great on fast breaks.
Oh and Sharpe clearly would’ve just messed up the fluidity our offense has. Glad he chose to not mess it up.

I think I’m some ways the Cats were due a clunker, but hoping it doesn’t linger.

And maybe it’s an opportunity to refocus.

Second half: Wheeler, TyTy, Mintz, Toppin, and Oscar.

Live with the results.

Basically don't guard the three and just hope they aren't hitting. Defense the worst have seen except for giving AL all those three's and we was lucky they wasn't hitting. Defense has to get after second half as top priority. They are getting wide open shots all over the place including layups. Why aren't we playing D? And of course we pick a night like this to not be able to shoot the ball. Would probably go to the basket a lot more and draw all the fouls we can.

they'll get back in rhythm in the second half

too many odd player combinations on the court in the first half
I really want this to be one of those times where we do come back. But it’s just not going to happen. Too many guys just haven’t come to play tonight and Tennessee has an excellent strategy to attack us.

And unfortunately that strategy is something that other teams are going to try to utilize. We just don’t have any shot blockers in the paint and Oscar is slow footed.

I also think TY should play some lead guard to have 3 shooters on the floor with Mintz. Gonna need them to hit shots

Thank God Mintz and Grady canned late 3s our this baby would be on ice.

Have to get back in transition and feed Oscar who will be doubled so he needs to kick it out for open 3s, we must make a very high percentage to have a prayer.
