We will not beat Alabama.

If it's 10-10 at half, we lose 30-10
If it's 21-10 at half, we win 28-27
If we come out "trying to score" vs "trying to keep it close til half" we have a chance. If reversed, we get hammered.

Yep. Bama has faced 2 true passing teams this year. Just so happens that they (om and aTm) scored the most points on bama all year. Om beat them and had Kyle Allen not thrown 3 pick 6s, aTm could've won that game. On the year, bama facing run first teams has given up 14.2 points/game. Against pass first teams, bama has given up 33 points/game... 30 if you throw out the om fluke pass.

(Didn't factor in any OOC games except Wisconsin)

I don't think I have...

1. I've seen a lot more L's than W's in my time as a State fan so I'm just used to thinking something will go wrong.

2. I've found that I'd rather have low expectations and then been pleasantly surprised than think we're going to win and be disappointed.

Good observations. More of the second half of the 2014 game, less of the first half.

Derrick Henry will not be the reason we lose this game. That offensive line might be though. They are hell up front. He is just the beneficiary.

The bama oline has actually struggled a lot this year. Bama has allowed 70 TFLs which is worst in the sec. By comparison, we've allowed 45 (4th in the sec)

They certainly didn't struggle last night. Ashton Shumpert could have ran through those holes. Their backup tailback ran for more ypc than Henry did. If he would have gotten 38 carries instead of ten, we would have people being scared of Drake instead of Henry. In reality, we better just hope they don't come out with the same offensive line play that they had last night.

You're right. They didn't struggle last night. Hopefully our crowd can rattle them some

Shirley you jest.

Before the game Saturday night...
When it comes to contact, they seemingly shed it with ease. Fournette and Henry rank first and second in the SEC in yards after contact (YAC). Fournette has registered 517 YAC compared to Henry's 439, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Fournette is averaging 73.9 YAC per game and 2.9 YAC per rush. Henry is right behind him with 54.9 YAC per game and 2.4 YAC per carry.

we only need to go back to the 2009 Sugar Bowl to get the gameplan to beat alabama. Our young QB coach ran Utah's spread passing game, up tempo, and jumped out to a quick lead.
Brian Johnson was a pretty good qb. But, he's no Dak.
