I just bought two cameos. You and natchez can cut yourself at the thought of fans helping Oscar and his family
Did you not see what post natchez was replying to? He obviously wasn’t referring to cameos. Those are fine, but other ideas proposed in this thread are not.

I’m all for helping Oscar, but not by illegal means.

The NCAA would be all over UK if the fans did something like this. WE are not Duke, LSU or Kansas.
You bet your *** if we bought the kid a extra muffin at breakfast the NCAA would set up camp in Lexington in less than a week , most likely have the investigation’s over in twenty four hours and UK would be facing the death penalty!

The purpose of the thread was for us to figure out how we could do it legally. I’ll buy a cameo with every check. He deserves it for the joy he has brought me this year

Well, that’s your choice, but I’m not sure he needs it. I’m sure Oscar’s well taken care even without NIL and only months away from seriously rolling in it.

Not needing it isn’t the issue. He is worth as much or more than any player on the team and he should be compensated as such IMO

His cameo is up over $100 now. He must have had a lot of recent requests
There is a drop box next to Sissy’s smoke shop that accepts quarters and smaller. But it’s saying Doolie for sheriff. I poked a couple Washington’s in anyway earlier today. If nothing else, chain saw files don’t come cheap

I think this thread might deserve some credit for that, and I say that sincerely. I didn’t know the cameo option existed until I read this thread, and I’m sure I’m not alone. Is it just coincidence that the price doubling came so soon after we started discussing it?

So, hey, we’re not completely wasting our time here.

Can’t argue with that logic.

But, still, I must say I’ve been amused watching presumably middle-income middle-aged people seem so concerned about how to give their money to someone very soon to be a very young millionaire.

Making sure ballers got paid used to be the responsibility of pro franchises and their billionaire owners, not normal folks like us.

Here’s the thing with Oscar. The odds of him becoming a young millionaire are rather low. He’s projected to be drafted like 89 or something last I looked. He’s been dealt a tough hand by federal labor laws, so while his teammates can cash in he can’t. I’ve literally never seen a kid play harder and also for presumably all the right reasons. This is Kentucky basketball. You put out for us like that and we will yearn to show our appreciation.

then there is good old American capitalism, god bless it. He’s a kid who has won the hearts of Kentucky fans like no one else has in recent memory. He is offering a service in a market which there is a demand. His fans are choosing to spend their money to purchase said service because they feel it is worth the price he is charging. Don’t act like he’s standing on the sidewalk holding a can or he has set up a go fund me or something. CAMEO is a business. This ain’t charity. I think golf clubs are stupid. Therefore I won’t buy any. But you won’t see me criticizing middle age - middle class folks for throwing more money at titleist. People spend their money on things they care about and that’s none of my business.

I don’t believe this for a second, and wouldn’t make too much out of that outdated draft projection.

With players who have breakout seasons, there’s often a time lag with their draft projections where they remain low-projected in the mid-season mock drafts, but then shoot up right after the season ends when the updated scouting reports come out.

Oscar will be drafted and in the NBA next season.

Never mind I found out where they live and I'm taking in upon myself to see if this would be what Oscar would want

I am keeping your name in my back pocket if I ever need a Private Investigator. You just found out where Oscar's family is in less than an hour? 🤣

He got the tip on their whereabouts from Shannon Sharpe. Turns out they live right next to that secret inland Navy base that only Dave knew about.

Nba doesn't have room for his style. The backdoor lob thing teams take advantage of is what the nba would do every play because the nba doesn't play drop coverage. I'm sure he'll make a nice living overseas where his style of play is more useful because it's more physical

Again, I don’t believe this. I understand how he’s not a good fit for today’s NBA style …but he’s favored to be the NPOY and id the best rebounder I’ve ever seen here. Nobody’s convincing me there’s no spot for that guy in the League.

The NBA has not evolved beyond needing rebounders, and nobody in this draft does that nearly as well as Oscar.

I agree. People like to say the games changed, as if it will never change again. Like nope this is the way it’s going to be for the next 50 years, when in fact history has shown the exact opposite.

Everything is cyclical and make no mistake there will be another “bad boys” team that will be built to rough up these jump shooting spread out teams. When it is successful this will be followed by more bad boys teams like the Knicks in the mid 90s.

So when Oscar is 30 the league will be looking completely different anyways and he might just be one of the most valuable players to have on a roster

His cameo is now $209
So it’s gone from $50 to $209 just since this thread started? Wow.

So where do you guys think it’ll be by the end of the season? Give me an over/under number.
