Glad to see the police finally get involved in some of these situations. Woulda like to have seen that vandy center escorted out in cuffs
Spitting at someone is waaay waaaaaay different than on the court play. This was idiotic.

I agree with you I wasn’t being serious. But seriously that guy on vandy is built to wreck people. That’s his superpowerSpitting at someone is waaay waaaaaay different than on the court play. This was idiotic.
no matter what one‘s opinion, we’ve still got a pandemic afoot. And even if we didn’t, how vile can you be? No one wants your spit on them. No wants a chance to get some nasty crap from you body fluids when they don’t know you. That’s pure biological assault. No different than the Tik Tok idiots running around licking the ice cream and putting it back or pretending to cough on produce. Don’t be an ***. Common decency is shot.
I would never dream of spitting on someone. Disgusting.
Kid should be off the team and is probably risking his status as a student at a very very good school. Idiot. Absolute idiot. Hope it was worth it.
Nah, I know. If anyone should’ve been arrested last night it should’ve been that ref that called a foul on TyTy when he got armbarred.I agree with you I wasn’t being serious. But seriously that guy on vandy is built to wreck people. That’s his superpower

I believe the video clearly shows there was a second spitter.
That was one magic loogie!![]()

It's a crime regardless of COVID. Can be filed as battery with bodily fluid. became law a little after the outbreak of AIDS/HIV and with upsurge of HepC.Haha….the world of COVID. Didn’t know you could be issued a citation for spitting on someone. Has that always been the case? Regardless, it is disgusting and deserves a beat down.
Because it is batteryArrested!!! For that?! That's a freaking joke.
Yes it's disgusting beyond belief and I wouldn't begin to do anything like it, but arrested is too far. When are fans gonna be held liable for provoking players. I'm not saying that's the case this time but we all know fans get away with murder. Grown men yelling and cursing 18/19 year old kids, and they are expected to be quiet and take it
Yea ok.. what a pu*** world we live in...Because it is battery

A kid made a mistake but didn't lay a hand on anyone. That will show on his record for years to come trying to get a job. It's a joke. Especially when you have no idea what was said or done to provoke it
Well he shouldn’t spit on people.Yea ok.. what a pu*** world we live in...

Spitting on someone has ALWAYS been assault. The fact that you think it should be okay to do without legal repercussions tells us all we need to know about you.Yea ok.. what a pu*** world we live in...

Yep. He thinks he should be able to do that without repercussions but if it were done to him it be WW3. Book it.Spitting on someone has ALWAYS been assault. The fact that you think it should be okay to do without legal repercussions tells us all we need to know about you.
In a case like this Cal would have very little say. A law was broken. AD and University president would have ultimate authority here. Player would be off the team and their student eligibility would be in question. If a Kentucky player did this after our loss let's say at Auburn (which i think fits in comparison) what would be Cal's response? The player is sitting out the season due to injury so suspension means nothing.
I seem to remember last year someone suspended for acting out and talking back. It possibly hurt our team long term to do that. And, now that player is gone.

Could play Pick the Mick.
Which Mick was crazir, Mick Cronin or Mick(ey) Rooney?
I'm pretty sure you were one of the idiots defending BLM's actions during the summer of riots so it's no surprise you think it's ok to spit on somebody because somebody may have called you a name or provoked you.Arrested!!! For that?! That's a freaking joke.

I would rather be punched than spit on. Especially during a pandemic.Yea ok.. what a pu*** world we live in...

There’s a big difference between yelling at someone and spitting on them.Arrested!!! For that?! That's a freaking joke.

Yes. Because grown men cursing a kid, while rude, have free speech. Spitting on someone isn’t covered under any freedom. You have to be the bigger person and walk away. Know that’s a difficult concept in our knee-jerk hot head, my rights society.
Spit can contain diseases and bacteria. Just like urine or fecal matter. And I have no doubt you’d be screaming for an arrest in that situation.
That’s the law. Period. And he’s old enough to know that behavior is not acceptable.
Come on man. If I spit on you don’t act like you wouldn’t want to whip my *** and rightfully so. As per usual, knee jerk response. Spitting on someone has been considered assault and/or battery for a long time in most jurisdictions.
Doesn’t matter if “he laid a hand” on anyone. Doesn’t matter what was said to provoke it. He has a duty to walk the eff away. He wasn’t backed in a corner. You show some major maturity and walk away. And it should show on his record. He’s over 18. He’s a LEGAL adult. I wouldn’t want to hire someone like this. And have my business be liable for this hothead. Can you imagine him on a service call or working with a client and he just gets pissed off and spits on someone? Congrats! You now have a major lawsuit on your hands. And you’re liable because you hired his dumbass.
Stop making excuses for this.
I agree with you, programs and venues need to crack down. But you still can't escalate to assault. When are fans gonna be held liable for provoking players. I'm not saying that's the case this time but we all know fans get away with murder. Grown men yelling and cursing 18/19 year old kids, and they are expected to be quiet and take it

I didn’t commit an open assault. And lots of people don’t. Stop making excuses for this.I was with you until the wouldn’t hire someone like this comment. He is legal but stand up if you didn’t do lots of dumb stuff until you were 25 years old. Most of which you didn’t get caught and were lucky. Young people do dumb stuff. This is a perfect example of something that should be disciplined but not a permanent record. Pay fines, community service, etc.
