That's not just a Nashville thing. White houses are errwhere. I drive by 4 new white houses pretty much every day. I guess it is timeless but you definitely notice.

* Valentine's Day is right around the corner. Don't forget to pick up all your favorite BARRY WOOD MERCHANDISE for your loved ones.

* When did Nashville officially jump the shark, so to speak?

- when Kid Rock got his own bar on Broadway?
- when the "holler and a swaller" became the official celebration of every single bar in town?
- when every other vehicle on the road was one of those oversized bus nuisances that's blaring music with idiots dancing around inside with strobe lights?
- the neverending supply of woooooooooooooo bachelorette parties?

* I've had to separate my emotions this season:

a> frustration after losses
b> confidence in our chance in march

So gd annoying. At the end of the day, losing on the road to the #2 team doesn't mean s***, but we had 'em on the ropes, could/should have won, then got all the tough breaks. Just dumb.

* The NFL sucks. As a reminder.....

- get woke, go broke
- thugs and criminals
- boycott
-they all hate america
- etc

I'm sure nobody else watched yesterday.

* Aaron Rodgers is an idiot. And it's a shame, because we definitely NEED outspoken superstars like him who aren't afraid to push back against the lunacy. He's just a horrible spokesperson for trying to accomplish that.

* Yeah, Wayne. Every time I get charged $100 for a single beer....../rolleyes

* Did everyone just walk right past rudd skipping the last 5 minutes of the Auburn game to play pickleball? TF?

* 50 and sunny here today. Going for a short sleeved run. Gotta show off my beach muscles.

- Household currently under siege with our second stomach bug in 3 weeks. WTF. Wife and baby puking all over the place. Can’t wait to join them! Big shout to her idiot friend she had a play date with Friday who neglected to pass along that the family they share a nanny with all had the stomach flu.
Better get used to that, pal. Especially once in school and day care. Little germ factories.

That was a hypothetical, PTI. Bar tipping is different than restaurant tipping in my book. The price of the drink has no bearing on what I'm going to tip. On a drink by drink basis, if it's busy, and the bar tender barely says hello as they crack open a Bud Light they're getting a dollar. On the other end of the spectrum and it's kind of quiet and they spend five minutes making me some fancy cocktail while they have a chat with me, they're getting $10.

- UL at UVA tonight. I'm at that stage now where I want Louisville to keep losing, but not so much that it's a no-brainer to can Mack. Ideally, they win just enough this year in a weak ACC to get their hopes for an NCAA bid up, then lose in the ACC-T and end up on the outside looking in. I want them to be bad enough to give us that delicious UL content we're looking for, but just good enough to give Mack another chance (or three). Then again, he may pull a Shaka and just leave for a better-fitting place before they have the chance to ax him. Butler is scuffling (again) under LaVall Jordan. That's the kind of job where Mack would probably kill it (again)...good conference, but not the Biggest Show in Town.

- Speaking of Shaka, he's proof that sometimes a good coach is just a bad fit. Very impressed with what he's done at Marquette so far. No bad losses, wins over five ranked opponents, and doing it primarily with freshmen and two transfers. Texas is just a beast of a job, whether BB or FB, and Austin was a weird fit.

- UNC fans better not watch any Cincy basketball this year. I'm not sure how much pure talent there is on Wes Miller's roster, but he's got them 14-5 and playing with purpose and intensity, if nothing else. Meanwhile, outside of Bacot, none of the Heels look like they even wanna be out there. They'll regret not having a true coaching search process (and completely dismissing Miller) for a long time.

- Happy for a guy like Mark Adams. Flames out in his first stint as a D-1 head coach, leaves the game, gets back in as a JUCO head coach, then spends nine years helping Beard as a roster-builder and defensive coordinator. Always glad to see a guy get a second chance like he's getting, and he's making the most of it. Will be uber-impressive if he can pull off the season sweep of KU tonight.

-BTC dropping like a rock lately as well^.

My brother advised me to pull half my money out back in October and saved me a boatload of cash, now just waiting to buy back in.

-$1 tip on a single drink is fine, if you’re ordering 4 mojitos or stupid old fashions (especially a smoked one you pretentious dorks) then throw a few extra out there.
Cash or card? That was the thing that stuck out to me when I was there in May, if you paid with a card they were $10 a piece after the fees and a $1 tip.
As a business proprietor, I would/do 100% add a credit card fee on to credit card purchases. Why should I pay for your credit card points? Amex isn’t the one paying it’s the business owner. Want to use a card no problem, 3% fee, cash price stays as stated.

-Haven’t been to Nashville in a decade and may keep it that way to preserve the find memories. I definitely plan on being in Tampa for the SECT though.

If the bartender is making a cocktail, especially some hipster BS, I’ll certainly tip more but just opening a bottle? A buck is plenty.

It’s Tennessee and Nashville taxes and alcohol regulated fees that end up being about a 30% fee. Not a credit card fee.

-i did, pti.

-again...not gonna miss a *big* game. In general I'd rather do something than watch someone do something. If you think that's pathetic, that's on you.

UL's problems are significantly bigger than Mack (or even Satterfield). That athletics program is a complete shitshow from top to bottom.

They're staring at long-term mediocrity, and it doesn't really matter who's coaching them.
