I feel like I’m taking crazy pills with the sharpe playing talk. The guy has been practicing for like one week and I see no way he won’t be completely lost. It actually seems so ridiculously preposterous to even think he’s going to play that I’m sure I’m missing something. Is there even an example of a player in the history of our sport that joined a team during his senior year of HS and just jumped in and started playing in the toughest conference in February and actually made a positive impact?

It's not preposterous to think he can give UK 5-10 minutes by February.

He’s the #1 player in the country- according to some, a Zion-type talent. He can be a role player off the bench. His role- fill it up.

^Yup, helluva slate coming up the next few weeks. Let's get **** right. We've basically beaten the doors off everyone save for the game we lost both PGs.

-Jabri Smith is ridiculous and you can tell he still isn't even comfortable in his athleticism and length. When he does, if he has a motor, look out. Top three picks this year are all freaks.

-^ is why if Sharpe is ready he needs to be out there. Those freaks take you to another level.

-That 2nd team is BRUTAL. If you're going to play Collins and Hopkins, which I'm fine with, it can't be at the same time.

-Inflation and Rona setting records on the same day. Wodie! Positive news, I think the "cases" are starting to fall on the East coast. Not positive news, inflation is here to stay.

-Lobster, asparagus, and risotto for WS's bd last night. WAF.

*Love some of Oscar's reactions to the whistle at times. He looks like he's seeing fire for the first time.

*50/50 on a Lexington run this weekend. Well, one day, that is. I need to at least act like I'm trying to save some money after the past few months. /worthit

*I don't really have a NFL rooting interest, but in the interest of my CATPAW friends, I'll root for the Bengals. WHOARETHEY!

*Currently 7% of our staff is out with positive COVID tests and another 2% awaiting results...which will be positive. I think we are seeing a 100% positivity rate of those tested. Odd.

*Not that I didn't before, but I am really appreciating the time I spend with my kids. Took the two to Rooster's last night and sat there close to two hours just talking.

*On a Subway kick. Mainly because nothing else decent is close to work, but also I need to be less...well, just less.

*Watching a Bryant ad on the sidewall of my screen while typing this.

Oh and really want to thank BBdK for telling everyone about Jabari Smith - the Top 5 recruit who’s been a Top 3 NBA Draft candidate since November.

Dude’s acting like he discovered Kurt Warner in the Arena League.

What are you talking about? Just love the dude, he hasn't been mentioned in this thread a single time all season.

Auburn looks like the best team in the country right now though...even though there really is no best team in the country.

Pearl is unreal.

Not sure which upcoming game excites me more — @Kansas or @Auburn.

Why would we burn Sharpe's redshirt on half a season?!

Don’t get the reference but that’s cool. You already lost today sport. Maybe recoup some points by doing one of those really cool tik toks where everyone is bobbing their head next!

* There are some good sports minds on here, but holy ****! there is also a lot of stupid.

Some of you have obviously never played a sport in your lives and it shows. Yet you feel the need to make 20 posts a game. Hey Armchair, take a break from typing and actually watch what is happening in the game for a while.

You know who you are.

Stick to worrying about what our GA's wear on the bench, and leave the real sports talk for people who know what the touch they are talking about. Like people good enough to take over the coaching reins of a 4th grade girl's basketball team in a tough Greater Cincinnati Catholic School League and help guide them to an 8-1 record.

This is a thread for the Elite, like me. I played the game and I coach the game. I haven't been officially tested, but I'm probably a touching genius.

If you can't hang... Clean it up.

And oh yeah... Bama lost again, but they did shoot a lot of 3's so that's good. Right, Vern?

* How about that duo of Doug Shows and Tony Greene?

* I understand that we need to get Hopkins and Collins PT, but does it have to be at the same time? That is one thing you pukes got right.

* Just give me one postseason win this year, Bengals. That is all I ask. Next year, Burrow and Chase will lead them to the Super Bowl. This year, just win one. One GD game. I'm not optimistic.

* And for fux sake, beat Tennessee. I hate those orange ********.

* God bless America, the University of Kentucky, steak hoagies with mushroom sauce/cheese/pickles and onions, bourbon and my wife.

Wodie Sloot, I hope you had one helluva birthday and that Anth's lobster was delish.

Doc, glad to see you post.

WCC, grow a sack and come up and watch a game with me in my luxury man cave.

Have a great touching day GYERO!

You live in a place where flip flops are worn year round...and you have nasty *** bunions.

Don't triffle with me, Mark Bunyon.
That hurts bro, my bunion was serious, could’ve been the end of me. And flip flops should be worn daily, why pay for $200 shoes when you could have $40 flops?

Mark Bunyan is perfect thanks. Im grizzled and chiseled just like the my dad Paul.

Also, feel like I’m getting sick like everyone else. But don’t worry gang, I’ll post daily updates of whether it’s terminal or not.

Despite all of Oscar's red flags (laziness, not tough enough, not a hard worker), it's been awesome to see him achieve success this year. And when you think about it, who knows more about hard work and toughness than this guy?

Just look at him. This man knows dedication.

All I know is that when I am good and sober
I am leaving West Virginia for a while

I think this has to be my favorite Childers lyric, and really any lyric in recent years. The for a while explicitly means that he's definitely coming back in spite of how bad it is for him, and man I GET that.

Wonderful song. Maybe his best IMO.

You feel he’d be able to come in for 10 minutes on February 5th @ Alabama and just play really well?
I'm talking about him playing spot minutes for Wheeler, Washington, Grady and Mintz. Especially, if one or more of those guys are hurt, sick or in foul trouble.

All he has to be is good enough to avoid the **** show that is Cal playing 3 bigs.

Childers has basically disappeared through the pandemic not sure if I missed it but thought for sure some of the disaster relief stuff would bring him out.
