Here is the Boston College AD's statement on why they dropped out of the Fenway Bowl: "Unfortunately, due to cases of Covid-19 rising within our program since our arrival, along with season-ending injuries, opt-outs and transfers, we just do not have enough players to field a team," Kraft said. So, yeah, COVID is nothing more than a convenient excuse to get out of a crappy bowl game after getting the bowl practice time.

Per Tskware on HOB, it does not appear that UK is testing vaccinated players unless they show COVID symptoms (SEC! SEC! SEC!). Mark Stoops has absolutely no Chris Mack-level of ***** in him so I would assume we will play with walkons and team managers if we have to. I'm more worried about Big Ten Iowa using the COVID excuse. That said, I think the fact that Stoops is an Iowa alum and has deep ties there would be a factor in Iowa's decision if it is close.

If there aren't any dropouts from the New Years bowls and playoff games, we will know if Wayne is right. (HINT: he, somehow, has managed to finally be absolutely right about something.)

* I'm a sucker for year end news montages. I hope to find one about all the random insanity that happened this year like Armie Hammer getting in the news for a cannibalism fetish, etc.

Joey?

* Coming next week?

-None of these programs (or at least not most) have said who or how many have Covid which to me seems like they’re using it as a cop out. The NFL tells you exactly who and how long they’re out.

-Hoping 2022 is the year my super mature friends and everyone decide to stop sending links that end up with a large black man’s penis on my screen. I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t even click on many of my friends links because I already know. Not sure why some people think that’s hilarious but hey whatever flips your skirt I guess.

-Off to a fantastic stretch at the gym going into the new year. Only one day off in December (closed for Xmas). Helps when you don’t work for a month though for sure. Hoping to be where I want by my 40th bday in March, please let it be 200 pounds finally. 🙌

-This bowl game is messing with my travel plans. I want to head back asap to get this business moving and generating money but I have tickets for the Tubby game(not missing that) on the 31st or 2 days ago for @cawoodsct . Plan on driving back on the first but that means radio only or trying to watch on my phone while driving 🥴.

Could start driving after the bball game but that means I miss the CFP. Serious pickle here gang.

-I really enjoy living/going between dynamically opposite cultures, styles, etc.

Kentucky: casual day-Khakis/Nice Jeans and a polo, loafers.
gym day- same 90s/2000s basketball shorts down to the knees, t shirt
everyone watches their favorite news channel in the evening.
Everyone watches UK sports.
KW: casual day-Board shorts and a UV/No Shirt, flops.
gym day-short shorts or tight leggings, cut off t shirt or 80s bodybuilding tiny strap tanks
No one watches any news.
So many people quit watching sports or never cared.

Just a cool way to see very different places. Pretty sure I don’t fit perfectly into either place, kind of half and half, maybe that’s why I’ve started going between so much lately.

Maybe one day Rouge will realize that going to a Planet Fitness (in Georgetown?) Is the reason for his gym culture difference. My KY gym is much more like his Key West description unfortunately down to the trend of guys wearing the shortest shorts possible, most of the girls are only there to do butt exercises so it all balances out a bit.

Speaking of gyms… The fitness center at our club has been littered with college smoke for the last 2 weeks. Good gracious. Just ridiculous and these dumbass dudes, which we all were TWENTY (we’re old!) years ago, hanging around them don’t know how good they have it.

-Looking forward to playing 2 basketball games per week even if it's(checks notes) Wednesday/Friday🤪. Call me old fashioned.

-What's your preferred lineup when Oscar is in foul trouble? I'd like to see some Toppin/Brooks. Then Ware if size is killing us.

-Still want to see Mintz find his role.

-Pretty remarkable Stoops gets all his guys to play Bowl Games year after year.

-Hope to see some of the young dudes out there getting confidence on Saturday. Especially with Ali out.

-Finally back to normal after the Bill Gates juiced rocked my world.

-BBdk mailed me a Blanch Devereaux Pop! doll. Lol.

-Women and knives and garage doors and towel holders. Google search for "industrial strength drywall" anchors.

-One of the trainers at our gym left, which is great because he trained way too many people in a small space, but bad because most of those people were hot af.

-Off the rails with diet and daily workouts last week. Time to get **** right.

-Apps and cocktails with the boys at OBC yesterday during a surprise Bonz visit. First time there. Hell of a bourbon list. Wings were meh but the rest of the food was good.

-Why get that^ bent over someone wearing an ineffective piece of cloth on their face? Feel like the less people I associate with on an airplane the better. Head down, find seat, head phones on, zone out.

-Air Travel seems to be going great.

-10 days looks more or less the same. Running out of time for an actual winter. I'm sure it'll be crammed into the 3-4 weeks of darkest(late Jan-Early Feb) then linger on into mid April.

-Christmas went awesome with the kiddos. Only 1 trip to Lou. Laid around a bunch watching movies, cooking, and drinking. Nailed the roast but the bread pudding needed another 30 minutes in the oven, IMO.

-So the new Matrix is terrible? I guess that's to be expected but was hoping. Oh well, I'll catch it at some point I guess.

-We really enjoyed Ron's Gone Wrong, although I may have already posted about it.

To be fair to our 20 year old selves, girls today dress a lot more seductively to the gym.

Had a safe healthy Christmas get together with the family.

- everyone was encouraged to travel by vehicle. those who chose air travel were required to show proof of negative COVID test result before and after their flight
- we had rapid PCR tests available for all attendees before, during, and after the festivities
- all congregation took place outdoors to promote strong air flow
- participants were seated in curated spots specifically marked 6+ feet apart for social distancing
- all diners were to remain seated during the entire meal and only trained, PPR protected, negatively tested, double vaxxed and boosted staff were allowed to serve food and beverages
- each attendee was required to wear either an N95 or KN95 mask throughout the meal. They were allowed to remove their mask while eating or drinking but must replace it after each sip or bite.
- surgical latex gloves were to be worn at all times and replaced with a new set after dining or using the restroom
- strict occupancy standards were held for the restroom, with no more than 2 people at any given time allowed to use the facilities
- directional arrows were placed throughout in order to keep all movement in specific areas heading in the correct way
- pre and post meal congregation was strictly prohibited
- conversation was allowed in the specially designed areas such marked with 6+ feet apart signs in order to promote safe social distancing measures

Nah, I'm just playin. We kinda laid low, went up to Fort Collins for the day, took the dog for a beautiful hike and stayed in a fancy hotel downtown. Was pretty wodie.

-most relaxed xmas ever.

-Friday at sister's place. We eliminated adult gifts...kids only. So much better. Food was fine.

-xmas day...slept til 930. Gifts/brunch/nap. SIL took dinner duty Scallop pasta dish for dinner.

-boxing day: passed on a free ticket to Bengals game, pickleball/tennis in the afternoon. Been under the weather/ate like a pig for a few days...struggled but felt great. Only so much lounging can be tolerated. Tamales and carnitas from other SIL to close out the gluttony.

-added trading places and love actually to the holiday movie rotation...great movies. Young Jamie Lee Curtis is an all timer. Forgot about the body double storyline in love actually...very funny.

-here's to another 4 day week. Go cats.

Undo your like right now Anth. You can't have it both ways, your position is clear -- you want 100 degrees year round.

So Congrats, and Frig off
Just because you all are screwing up your weather isn't my fault. My months listen to my request, which is to be hot enough to make chad miserable.

  • Off this week. Not checking email. Eff off. Wife in KY. Mr Mom time. Sausage & Peps on Balthazar baguettes this evening.

  • Todays Lion King performance was canceled (we had tix). Tomorrow, Broadway reopens, however. Science. Got tix for Wednesday - so my son gets to go to museum 🦕🦖🐋 in morning and matinee at 2. Better seats too. LFG. See tree thereafter.

  • Go kart is fast AF, boi. Kid shot me a wry smile as he ripped past me. He knows. This thing is awesome.

  • Rewatched LSU game. That was the last game we really looked like a legit Top10 team. Crowd was unreal. Georgia stole our soul.

  • My HS senior son’s first winter track meetwas cancelled. They run in the NYC armory, but that too supposedly reopens on Thursday. He’s ready. 800 and 4x400 are his events and should post some decent results.

  • Old colleague coming over for drinks. He’s a scotch guy. Lagavulin 16 & Compass Box Menagerie on the ready.

  • Suck it, Omicron.

Yeah, there’s just nothing like looking at women with 3 sweaters and a big coat that turns me on.
All you ladies with skimpy tops on because it’s warm in December are ruining my commercialized holiday.
Why would I want to go fishing in December without a foot of snow or it being 12 degrees?
To be honest I really like scraping my windshield and having to avoid all the vehicles sliding around and running into each other.
I’m with the fats, gimme the wonderful, cold *** winter.

- Does Hank ever think to himself, “maybe I should just STFU?” Doesn’t seem like it.

- Mintz has his role - Vinnie Johnson. He just needs to play better and hit shots.

- I’m with Anth on Toppin at the 5 with Brooks. Really anything with 3 guards.

- Have said it before but thank God Kelvin Sampson *gasp* illegally texted recruits at Indiana. Dude would have a couple championships there.

- I’m across the country in a house with 6 adults and two toddlers during a pandemic upsurge while it rains every day. I’m getting drunk every night and IDGAF what anyone says. Half a mind to crack one right now.

- Dolphins tonight. Two UK basketball games. Two playoff games. And the Citrus Bowl. Eye on the prize.

- @wildcat1973 how close are you to Pleasant Hill in the East Bay? Went to text you just to ******** but have two numbers in my phone.
