Looks like Adidas gave us the Louisville vs. Auburn treatment for Saturday. Hopefully it will just be cleats and gloves and nothing on the helmets.

Lord help me if that logo is on the helmet.

That's worse than poor high school quality. That's like spray painted convenience store signs in the ghetto bad.

If those cleats allow our guys (shump and Richie brown esp) to keep their footing, I don't care what Adidas puts on them

we make so many good decisions. Then we do ridiculous sh** like this. I don't get it. I hope this isn't true. I have a hard time believing even the players like those toddler shoes.

Do y'all really give a **** what our shoes look like? Damn I'm old!

I'm always amazed at how this board whines about uniforms. As long as the players like them that is all I care about. It's almost daily someone on here is crying about uniforms and now shoes.

I would like to ask a terribly unsophisticated question about this

Not being critical or confrontational just want to ask. Why ? What marketing goal is Adidas trying to accomplish by spending time and money doing this ? Is this an attempt to start a new product line or just an effort create something that`s different to draw attention ? I`ll hang up and listen.

since when are cleats lined with silk? by definition, that would make these slippers with grip.

Too bad.....

The majority of the players will have 3-5 rolls of tape on each foot and you won't even be able to see the shoe.***

I really wonder if other fan bases whine about uniforms as much as this one does. For crying out loud, they are shoes. I could give a rats *** what their shoes look like as long as it allows the players to keep their footing.

I wonder if other schools have airbrushed cleats. I don't really care in the long run but my initial reaction is those are some ugly *** cleats.

What's our comparable population?

Get a list of Power 5 schools that have had as many or more uni changes than we have had as of late and start searching their message boards.

I assume you will find the following:

1) those that like all changes and post about it
2) those that hate all changes and post about it
3) those that have taste and post about it
4) those that don't have taste and post about it
5) those that can't believe #2 and #3 exist and post about it

My concern with new cleats has always been....and to preface, I haven't put on a pair of cleats in 30 years and maybe they are made different now days...but I remember putting on new cleats back in the day and it took two weeks to break them in. They were stiff as hell and were uncomfortable until broken in. Of course we only had one pair from August to Nov. unlike today when it seems they are like disposable contacts and you use them only one day and throw them away.

I know today's shoes are probably made better than back then, but does this make any sense in what I'm thinking?

I bet adidas will be airbrushing cleats all over the country this year. As much as we ***** and moan over the uniforms, adidas, and Nike for that matter, keep coming out with new alternative units for multiple teams, so they must be very popular with some people. Apparently their demographic is not middle aged white men.

I for one make major fun of other teams that roll out ridiculous looking crap like this i.e. Maryland, Louisville, Oregon, etc. I would appreciate Adidas not giving other schools reason to do the same to us. I'm sick of their crap, won't ever catch me wearing anything Adidas, bunch of double knit looking shirts with zippers. It looks like junk Euros would wear at a sidewalk cafe sipping lattes and smoking Turkish cigarettes holding them between their middle and ring fingers
