I would root for pancreatic cancer over Duke.
At one point, the US elected (selected) Brandon. At one point, the US was rooting for Joseph Stalin.
Why does UK need a compliment? The Cats are what they are regardless of anything else. Games aren’t decided by public opinion.I know some people would love to see the Zags crush Duke, and normally I would, but if Duke loses close or upsets them, it compliments UK.
It helps UK's RPI more if Duke wins rather than loses. Why does UK need a compliment? The Cats are what they are regardless of anything else. Games aren’t decided by public opinion.
Too early to tell.Doesn’t matter who wins. In my opinion this Kentucky team is not final 4 caliber. Would love to be wrong
This is where I am as well. But, it's going to feel so disgusting actually pulling for Duke to win. It's because I don't want them to go undefeated, and there aren't many chances for that to happen. Duke will flame out, I don't really see them as strong contenders in the long haul, but I want to make sure I don't have to hear about the Zags undefeated season for the next 20 years. Same reason I wanted UCLA to take them out in the FF even if it meant they were that much closer to getting 12.
Actually we won't have any games with a full rotation since CJ never got to play.Too early to tell.
And not to mention we have played a grand total of one game with our full rotation.
I'm not sure, they got extremely lucky getting Timme and Nembrand back this year, obviously they are not gonna get the Number 1 pick on top of that every year, especially next year because we got Sharpe in the bag! It's kinda been a flukey two years for them to have their usual guys plus a top recruit. They will still be good next year but I see a pretty big drop for them.Duke is sunsetting and the Zag's are primed to replace them as the douche-iest team in the land. An undefeated season and a championship will just make them that much worse.
The thing being overlooked for the Zags is that 5 of their top 8 guys are freshmen or sophomores. I think UK and Duke have proven come tournament time its tough to have to depend on that many freshmen unless they are elite guys and Holmgren is the only one of their players who by the end of season has even a remote possibility of being on the "elite" level of an Anthony Davis.I'm not sure, they got extremely lucky getting Timme and Nembrand back this year, obviously they are not gonna get the Number 1 pick on top of that every year, especially next year because we got Sharpe in the bag! Nobody outside of our fan base cares how it affects us. Its going to be a quad 1 loss all season regardless who wins.I know some people would love to see the Zags crush Duke, and normally I would, but if Duke loses close or upsets them, it compliments UK.
Gonzaga haters heads explode and claim Duke is overrated and not a Top 5 team. No team is top 5 in their mind lolWe need to predict this game:
I say Gonzaga 90
Duke 77
And in old reds prediction game this year I would be in last place
They should just start the rankings at #6 to appease us all.Gonzaga haters heads explode and claim Duke is overrated and not a Top 5 team. No team is top 5 in their mind lol
If you are not Gonzaga, too good, you are going to have to play the game of your life to beat them. Just look at the FTA discrepancy when we played them.but I don't think the refs will let that happen to the rat this year.

Yeah but would you guys take Brad Calipari or Kareem in 1969. There's a young man in another thread that's pretty sure that Brad would have been the best player in college basketball back then. This is shocking to me. Of course that guy knows basketball better than I do.They should just start the rankings at #6 to appease us all.
That's why I post on a Kentucky board.Nobody outside of our fan base cares how it affects us
Kareem would’ve certainly merited a team vote.Yeah but would you guys take Brad Calipari or Kareem in 1969. Old Duke Versus new Duke.
Hope they both lose somehow.
I do too, the Zags are completely loaded!!I think the Zags win. Thanks for the reminder. Need to put this on the calendar.
Brad Calipari could not even make the Kentucky girl's team.Yeah but would you guys take Brad Calipari or Kareem in 1969. Arizona is the team you need to worry about going undefeated in the future. Tommy Lloyd brings that Zag offensive style with him. It is a lot easier to recruit 5 stars to Arizona than it is to Gonzaga. You run that Gonzaga offense with 5 star talent instead of 3 stars with an occasional 5 star. Lloyd also has more international contacts than any other coach. You need to watch out for Arizona going forward. Mighty Michigan and their supposed super star coach Howard got a little taste of that the other night. It's because I don't want them to go undefeated, and there aren't many chances for that to happen. Duke will flame out, I don't really see them as strong contenders in the long haul, but I want to make sure I don't have to hear about the Zags undefeated season for the next 20 years. I’ll gladly take a hit to the RPI to see that rat bastard’s last season have a blemish. It helps UK's RPI more if Duke wins rather than loses.
No way in hell Duke beats the Zags. Absolutely no way. Not sure it will even be close. If Duke beats Gonzaga Friday, as I suspect they will, or plays them very close, does that change your perception of Kentucky as a potential Final Four quality team?
The Cats were ahead of Duke fairly late, and likely win the game with a normal performance by TyTy and if Wheeler was on top of his turnovers. Duke didn't play a perfect game either obviously, and shot poorly from outside, but probably played closer to their March potential than Kentucky in the single digit win. While both teams will improve, we know Cal's teams will get much better defensively, and the guards will cut way down on turnovers, and that's not including a potential boost from uber-athletic Sharpe.
I'll be very interested to see how Duke matches up with the Zags, and from that extrapolate a little about Kentucky. If Duke wins, they'll be #1, so we'll know how the Cats match up on the court with the #1 team.
Well I had it and I can tell you, both of them suck!I would root for pancreatic cancer over Duke.
Because that is what we have become? I guess. Why does UK need a compliment? The Cats are what they are regardless of anything else. Games aren’t decided by public opinion.
