I don't know. I think his whole offensive approach since he's been here has been get to the rim and either make the shot, get foul or get a rebound.

Generating quality looks from 3 is way down in his list of offensive priorities.

Also, long twos can be a result of over reliance on driving. What happens when your opponent knows you will drive, even pass up open looks from 3 to try? They will crowd the lane. If you can't get into the lane when you drive, you'll take long 2's.

Despite all the handwringing regarding Brooks, he is one of our top 2 players tonight.

Once people have an opinion on someone, there's huge resistance to changing that opinion. A lot of people decided they disliked him after the BLM/Rupp stuff. Then more people decided they disliked him when half this board was convinced that he was "opting out" and that the rest of us were naive for not seeing "the obvious" that he was choosing not to play. Those people are going to focus on the negatives and ignore the positives, because that's how mental biases work once you have that bias formed.
